We had the pleasure of being the only two people on George's Outlander Tour through the highlands in February. Despite our worst fears of miserable winter weather, we were blessed with a beautiful sunny day out. George was accommodating and very knowledgeable of the local history and made our day one we will not soon forget! We loved seeing all the significant places in the inspiration and filming of Outlander and walking around with a true Scot in a kilt! What a wonderful day!! :)

We had planned to do Tour 3 with Thistle during our cruise. Unfortunately, our cruise was cancelled yesterday due to corona virus. Maxine is great and has already transferred our money in less than 24 hours back. We'll be back in 2021 or 2022? :-)

A beautiful distillery in a park-like setting on the water. The tour guide was friendly and well-informed...took us through the distillery and cask storage facilities explaining the entire process. Tasting on one scotch included in the “Original” tour. Which was fine with us...a couple other options available

We loved this tour so much that we booked another Happy Tour for the next day! Our man in a kilt, Drew, and trainee, Robert, were knowledgable, funny and full of stories. There was only the 3 of us as we had to book a private tour due to COVID and we really got to know our guides. The scenery is stunning and the tour covers a lot of history and sights. The Viaduct is a great highlight especially for the Harry Potter fans but you see so much more too. The bus is also very comfy and spacious and the guides go out of their way to ensure you’re happy, would strongly recommend!

9. Invergordon port tour to Dunrobin castle
You will be travelling in your personal vehicle with driver this is not a bus tour you will have as much or as little time at these stops as you wish this is a amazing journey with loads of scenic views

Andrew gave us the best experience on a trip out to Cawdor Castle from Inverness. He was on time, helpful with my elderly mother, kind, full of knowledge and just plain welcoming. He picked us up at our B&B in Inverness, promptly at the time arranged, told us all about the castle during our drive out there, and told us if we needed more time at the castle, to just let him know and he could adjust as needed. On the way back to Inverness, since it was my mother's first time in Scotland, he drove us by Culloden battlefield to take a look at the site as well as the hairy coos there at no extra charge, even though we were his last trip for the day and it took time out of his own personal schedule. He was a gentleman in the truest sense of the word and I would highly recommend him and his car services and tours to anyone who visits the area. The prices were reasonable, the service outstanding and you definitely won't be disappointed.

This is another relaxing day out which takes a look back to old and ancient times visiting Ancient Pictish Sites , Old Churches and burial grounds primarily around Ross-shire. The tour is conducted in a luxury van type MPV which has full leather seating for up to 7 adult passengers and the driver is an advanced driver with an excellent knowledge of the area. My husband and I had a wonderful day last week (Oct 2020) exploring the Northern Highlands from Inverness with Craig. Prior to our visit, I communicated with Craig via email to plan our day. I had a few things in mind that I wanted to see, such as the Culloden Battlefield, Clava Cairns and Dunrobin Castle, but mostly explained that we wanted to get a sense of the history and culture and stop and take in the beautiful landscapes and take photos. Craig delivered all that and more, exceeding our expectations, with his knowledge of the area and his delightful stories. In addition to all of the above, Craig whisked us off to a surprise visit to fascinating Wardlaw Mausoleum to learn more about the Clan Fraser (Outlander fans will understand!), Beauty Priory, Shin Falls to see the salmon leaping (yes, we did get to see actual salmon!). We had another surprise at Dunrobin Castle with a Falconry demonstration, which normally would not be operating this time of year. Many stops along the way to see beautiful vistas, Loch Fleet World Heritage site where we had a good view of the seal colony, and Clootie Well. Craig was the ultimate host, picking us up and dropping us off at our Inverness hotel, driving us in comfort, complete with safety measures of hand sanitizer and masks, and more importantly a picnic hamper full of snacks. He was very responsive and communicative before and after our trip. I highly recommend Craig as your personal tour guide to the delightful Highlands.
