This is a really beautiful park on top of San Salvatore mountain. You'll taste a relaxing atmosphere submersed in a wide variety of trees and plants from all over the world. I had the chance to play here a few times and it was a really cool experience! Beautiful parks, play-ground for kids and walks through nature.

Flore-Alpe Alpine Botanical Garden

The alpine garden Flore-Alpe is enchantingly situated at an altitude of 1500 metres overlooking Champex-Lac. At the foot of the Catogne, strolling the winding paths among the rockeries and bridges overlooking the pools of glacial water, visitors can contemplate the magnificent and unique panorama of Champex-Lac and the snow covered tops of the Combins.

Brissago Islands

We were on a boat trip from Locarno which happened to stop at the islands in Lake Maggiore. We decided to alight and were pleased we did. We spent a very pleasant hour or so walking around the gardens which are planted with lots of plants from different parts of the world. This was well worth a visit. For those with children, there seemed to be plenty to keep them entertained.

Parco Scherrer

Reviewed By PaulSandmann - Berlin, Germany

...but I’ve never seen something quite like this one. When wandering through the lush garden you might catch the soft melody of “Nessun dorma” being played across the lake, sung by Pavarotti. I was lucky, I heard that song during my visit and the birds seemed to sing to the song. I felt being put back in time when writing “Narcissus”. What a beautiful day spent here..
