Split into three separate walks, all numbered and colour coded, we found this activity absolutely fascinating. The map provided by the Visitor Centre with detailed instructions and all three walks colour coded made this one of the more enjoyably historic walks we have experienced

Coonalpyn Silos

The 30-metre mural on the (still operational) Viterra grain silos was the flagship project in Coorong District Council's arts lead regional renewal program 'Creating Coonalpyn'. Artist Guido van Helten was given the keys to Coonalpyn on 1 February 2017. five Coonalpyn Primary School children on the Viterra silos with the intention to represent Coonalpyn's 'hope for the future'.

I am used to colourful silo art with Australian flora and fauna taking the lead so it was with interest that I viewed this artwork. The monochromatic portrayal of local children (I believe) is very effective and the silo's rounded surface gives the impression they are playing a game of hide and seek. There is parking right in front of the silo, which is perfect for a quick pit-stop.

We walked around Peterborough and it was lovely to see all the old buildings. It was also great that their history was being preserved in the information boards near the various places. Loved the Town Hall and the building next door. So much to see and do in Peterborough.

Beehive Corner Building

Reviewed By Q7840EUdanl - Bunbury, Australia

Lovely Heritage building on the corner of King William Street and Rundle Mall and where we were delivered on completion of our Adelaide Highlights Tour. Dating to 1895, it replaced a previous structure dating to the early 1840's. Beautiful neo-Gothic façade with decorative turret above. Associated with chocolate since construction, Haigh’s Chocolates, established in 1915 in the building, has sold chocolates here since.

General Post Office

Reviewed By RayParks - Adelaide, Australia

My Japanese friend was impressed by the fact that the postal business had continued in this beautiful building over 140 years, while Tokyo GPO was demolished and rebuilt within a multi-purpose skyscraper. She liked the idea of Australia Post Shop, where you can buy stationery, books and souvenirs, while Japanese post offices concentrate only on postal service and banking.
