Sisaket (Thai: ศรีสะเกษ, RTGS: Si Sa Ket), is one of the northeastern provinces (changwat) of Thailand. Neighboring provinces are (from west clockwise) Surin, Roi Et, Yasothon, and Ubon Ratchathani. To the south it borders Oddar Meancheay and Preah Vihear of Cambodia.

The SiSaKet Aquarium is a wonderful place to visit, the setting is lovely & it's a great building. As you walk up to the front entrance you must take a look at the Koi Carp (goldfish) in the outside ponds, some are huge. The cost for entry is 20b for children, & 30b for Adults (very cheap) and even though it's not the largest Aquarium you have ever been to it is still a wonderful place to go. They have many Large & small tanks filled with many different varieties of fish, there is a wonderful walk thru glass tank filled with huge fish down to tiny fish, Sharks, Stingrays, even Nemo is there. Snapping Turtles and a long nosed Turtle. The Kids & Adults will enjoy looking at the displays, you can take photos (but No Flash please) There is an area sell Souvenirs inside just before th exit. Outside Kiosk & Venders sell drinks, fruit, ice creams & hot food, and the lovely Gardens & trees make a wonderful place to relax while the kids play in the Great Adventure Playground.

I've lived in Sisaket for 5 years and only visited this Wat for the first time today. It was very interesting and very enjoyable. Only 8 km NW of Sisaket town. I would highly recommend anyone living in or visiting Sisaket take a few hours and have a look.

Not a standalone attraction but it is very different. There are several different types of bottles used so not only beer bottles, they have used energy drinks like M150 and electrolytes also. An imaginative design and creativity shines through especially if you look at the roofs and walk ways. Even the abundant amount of toilets have the bottled theme which as you can see in my pics, even a canine likes the décor. It is something different and I liked that. No entry fee.

I was staying in Kantharalak and decided to go have a look. Pha Mo E Dang is aprox 30kms from Kantharalak on very good bitumen road. There is a fee to enter the park but I was with a family of Thai people so we were not charged. It is a spectacular sight to behold. Beautiful jungle and Mountains as you look from the top of the cliff into neighbouring Cambodia. The is quite a military presence there for border security. Easy walking for most of it. Take water because its hot. There are restaurants located near the car park where we ate lunch after sightseeing. For 12 of us it cost 920 baht.

This temple built from over million of recycle glass bottle. This temple is worth a visit even though it is quite a long way from Bangkok. There are also other temple not too far to visit too

Plenty of Khmer ruins around next to the temple - one of the signs calls them the 'most perfect ruins'. They are in fact in very good condition - plenty of opportunities to walk around them or picture an epic paintball game around all the corner...
The temple is small, and a few statues of the deadly sins will bring some giggles. What's crazy is that they look in worse condition than the centuries-older ruins... Give the site as a whole about an hour.

This is a good day out but thers quite a bit of walking also the rocks are quite slippery in the water so where sensible shoes trainers you dont mind getting wet is ideal, you can swim in the water its clean and mainly fairly shallow quite fast flowing but there are some deep areas so good to keep a watchful eye if you go with kids as we did, all in all a good day out, i would recommend taking a mat to sit on and your own food and drinks

As all Temples (wats) this is Super Stunning & Peaceful. The grounds around Maha Phuttharam Wat have big old shady trees to sit, enjoy a refreshment, let the tin lids (children/kids) have a run around or get a massage from one of the shop in the far corner. It's the inside of this Wat that is so Wonderful, adorned with art works on every possible surface, depicting the story of Buddha, enlightenment, wisdom & knowledge. All hand painted with Gold gilt & Glorious colours. You can purchase offerings,candles,incense to place before the Statue upon entering the foyer section, or a parcel with goods for the Monks (if one is present) and get a blessing. If you come to SiSaKet this is a lovely Wat to Visit.

Regularly visit these Waterfalls when visiting Khun Han and normally take a group of children with me.Turn off just south of the town of Samrong Khiat it's a pleasant place to relax,sheltered by trees and if you are brave enough to have a dip in the cool and refreshing water.Waterfall impressive in the rainy season but very low water in the dry season.Plenty of car parking and small shop selling food and drink.Nice place to visit for a day trip.
