The food was absolutely amazing. We both had the taster menu and were extremely impressed. The service and timing of each course was first class.
A truly enjoyable experience. Would definitely return.
I would have given 5* but the restaurant was not at all intimate and in fact there are so many tables squeezed into a small area that the noise is a little overpowering. Unless you shout you cannot be heard across the table.

I cannot say enough for this place, it is absolutely lovely, one of the most friendly, welcoming restaurants I've been to with delicious home cooked food. I am allergic to garlic and onion and made Giorgio aware of this beforehand. In preparation his wife had prepared a portion of every single option without these ingredients so I could choose anything off the menu! The food was all cooked by his wife, beautifully presented, unique and full of fantastic flavours. I had a starter but my friend didn't order one, but Giorgio brought out a tiny plate with an aubergine roll to sample for free. He also called everyone by their name which gave it a personal touch. Couldn't have asked for anything more.
I will be returning if I visit Brighton again!
Thank you Giorgio and your wife!

Do not spend any chunk of time in Brighton without visiting the wonderful Bom Banes. It's hard to sum up this unique place adequately - you really need to visit to experience the joys first hand. The interior is original and entertaining in itself. The food is always lovely - the menu isn't extensive but everything on it is superb. The hospitality is top class - Mrs Bom Bane is a fabulous host who makes you feel like an old friend. She is warm, charismatic and really wants you to have a great time. And the entertainment is simply brilliant - a wide variety of events and shows - many starring Mrs Bom Bane herself. An absolute Brighton gem. We just had to look up this little place after finding it on Instagram. It’s a small simple little hut with a kitchen the size of a shoe box, but this doesn’t stop these guys turning out some amazing food. A small menu, reasonably priced, and without the slightest hint of pretentiousness that seems rife in trendy burger restaurants these days. This is street food so be prepared to sit outside. The only reason I gave 4 stars is simply because the sweet potato fries were not up to par (just kinda greasy and no salt on them or the table) but the burger was definitely the best I’ve ever had. Really friendly service too.

Myself and a few friends decided that try this nice little shop because we heard the burgers were fantastic. We weren’t let down.
They have a nice selection of meat, chicken and vegetarian burgers. The buns are incredible and the burgers were very well put together. The wooden short skewers keep the burgers together very well whilst you eat them. All the options are very well balanced and have complementing flavours.
I was very happy with my Vegetarian Special, and found the taste of friends’ meat burgers very tasty also. They were filling but not overwhelming or too heavy.
They store has a simply yet cool vibe, and they guy serving us was quite pleasant.
I highly recommend coming here and either eating in, if you can find a seat, or taking it away to a park on a nice day.
All the packaging seemed biodegradable which I like.
I hope to revisit again soon

My wife took me here for my birthday. We had an excellent lunch of six plates. The restaurant is small and I did feel a little crammed. Hence the four stars and I could it would be 4.5.
The food was superb. I started with the hake followed by a vegetable dish and finished with a pork dish. I was a bit worried the size of the dishes would be to small. This was not the case and I was pleasantly full. We also had a rum jelly bear and a truffle for dessert.
Service was excellent. Watching the food being prepared educational and hearing from the chef about the ingredients informative. I look forward to visiting again.

Don’t go to one of the boring chains for coffee and cake. Come to this authentic Turkish cafe with great coffees and gorgeous cakes and pastries. It has real charm and is not expensive. I have only had drinks and cakes, never tried the main meals but they all look delicious. They have recently redecorated the upstairs and enlarged it. A really lovely calm place for a break from frenetic London Road.
Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

We visited last Saturday Evening having booked a week in advance. This beautiful cosy restaurant has everything; a lovely ambiance, an artfully decorated interior, astoundingly good and friendly staff, a menu with a difference and best of all freshly prepared, well presented excellent food. There is nothing to fault but please book as you get your table for the whole evening and it's not that big but this is part of what makes it so good. We have visited many places throughout the world and this is now definitely in my top 5.

Cakes The Difference

Reviewed By Elliot M - Brighton, United Kingdom

For my dad's birthday, I took him to Cakes The Difference as we have been there before & it's always a great occasion.
This was no different as we had a plentiful selection of delicious sandwiches to our own choices, 3 scones with jam/cream each plus as much tea as we could drink & all for just £15 per person.
There are many home made cakes to enjoy if you still have room after the sandwiches & scones.
The service was top notch as always & you are always made to feel welcome by Denise & her staff which is an important part when you eat out as you want to feel valued.
It's always busy, so it's best to book in advance, but it's worth the effort as many others will testify.
Just give it a go & you won't regret it.
