If your travels include the city of Tianjin, and you only have 1-day, this flexible tour was worth it! My excellent tour guide Echo spent the day showing and explaining to me the various historical and cultural sites of Tianjin. The many highlights comprised of a view from the top of the TV Tower, visiting the Yangliu Qing Painting Museum and making a DIY print to take home, seeing and briefly exploring the Five Great Avenues, lunching at a local restaurant, admiring the porcelain house and visiting the home of the last Emperor Puyi. Echo and our driver were on time, Echo was very personable and the excursion made my last day in Tianjin very productive, educational and enjoyable!

DIana our host was fun and knowledgeable which made for a great night out. We were a group of 9 and after meeting at Lama Temple subway station, we took our tuk tuks to the Hutongs and stopped at 5 places total. We had noodle dishes, Mongolian BBQ, Chinese pancakes and donkey meat burgers / pastries. Everything was delicious, we learned a bit about the history of the Hutong buildings and there was no shortage of beers / soft drinks along the way. We topped off the tour at a craft brewery! Lost Plate sends you the places afterwards and my wife and I actually went back to a place for lunch because we liked it so much. Can only recommend this tour!

We had a wonderful trip organised by Sunflower. We were picked up from our ship in Tianjin, put on a bullet train by the driver to Beijing where Sunflower met us at the station holding a large sunflower! With a private car & driver she took us to Tiananmen Square discussing the history, lunch at a typical Chinese restaurant Hutong; the Temple of Heaven; the Forbidden City then booked us into our hotel. Sunflower had arranged a restaurant for dinner for us. The next day we went to the Great Wall then taken back to the bullet train. We were met the other end & taken back to our cruise ship. Sunflower speaks excellent English; is amusing informative & I can thoroughly recommend going on this trip.

Sherry did a fantastic job showing us some of the best and most important sights in Beijing. She had already booked tickets in advance and was able to help navigate us through various gates and QR codes, which made the tour much smoother, and she was extremely knowledgeable, interesting, and friendly. Seeing these sights was at least twice as enjoyable because she was there to explain them and make conversation with us. I strongly recommend a tour with Sherry. We had a great time at Christmas because of her.

The Lost Plate Hutong Breakfast Tour was awesome! It was great to see so much local food and taste a good number of popular breakfast items. I definitely wouldn't have gone into some of the restaurants unless someone guided me in, so I'm really grateful for getting this opportunity to enjoy some local food with a great guide. I highly recommend this food tour for anyone who is curious about the variety of breakfast foods in Beijing and wants to try more than 10 items. Prepare your stomachs!
