This wildlife sanctuary is famous for its population of tigers, a 1000-year-old fort and a rich diversity of flora and fauna.
Had a couple of morning Safaris in the six seater gypsy 4wd jeeps. Our guide was absolutely excellent, young lad in a light blue srixon cap, don't recall his name. First day saw leopard, jungle cat, mongoose, as well as the standards like boar, peacocks, monkeys, deer and antelope. Second day we saw four tigers including a real close encounter with a large male. So lucky. Fantastic.

Not sure if w should blame the guide who accompanied us. But, there was no concrete information about the fort. Rane padmavati and Khilji figured in the history of this fort too. Thousands of monkey around the place, so don't carry eatables

One of the many attractions near the fort. It is rumoured to be the pool where the princess Padmavati would bathe and eventually where she committed suicide. Now in ruins and the water is moss infested. The architecture is splendid though

WE ARE OFFER GOVERNMENT AUTHORIGE SPEED MOTOR BOAT for chambal safari.Palighat Situated on the banks of the river Chambal, on the border of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh states. Officially a crocodile sanctuary(ghadial). Crocodiles can be easily spotted here at PaliGhat. 21 Ft Crocodile, 18 Ft Gharial. The National Chambal Sanctuary is listed as an important bird area. At least 320 species of resident and migratory birds inhabit the sanctuary
Planned a trip for Ranthambore on the 25th Dec weekend. This was our cardinal mistake because the national park was choked with people. To get some respite from the insane throng we decided impulsively to visit the Crocodile Safari of Chambal (60 kms from Ranthambore)
A quick research on the web directed us to Mr. Rudra Pratap Singh ( Govt authorized safari owner). We thanked our stars for being directed to him. The safari was immensely well planned. Mr. R.P. Singh is informed, courteous and very attentive to customer satisfaction. The guide Hemraj of our safari was engaging and passionate about the safari. He meticulously detailed in all information of the wicked reptile that we were about to see.
I found it very endearing to observe that he was thoroughly spirited about his job which got rubbed in to people on the boat who were apprehensive about the idea of Croc safari. He did made the safari even more thrilling with crocs anecdotes.
We managed to see 6-7 crocodiles and 2-3 ghariyals though it was nearly sunset.
The experience is once in lifetime because the proximity to the vicious reptile is menacing and enthralling at the same time.( For those having thoughts on its safety:The guide and owner ensure it is safe)
A must visit for everyone who is going to Ranthambore National park!
If the king of Jungle eludes you the King of the Water will surely make its mark!!

One of the very few attractions in Sawai Madhopur. The fort is huge and the climb is pretty steep at some points. Langoors peacocks and parrots will be aplenty within the fort. Do not fall in the trap of the guides as they will tell you any stories whatsoever, some very difficult to digest.

The gate at jogi mahal is well made informative. We passed by Jogi Mahal on our way into the jungle.
However we did not enter the building or see from inside.
The board at the gate talks of the enormous tiger reserve and the treasures there in.

Amreshwar Mahadev located inside the forest and is a temple of Lord Shiva.
Once one exits the Ranthambore reserves main gate on the main road please take the left turn, some distance ahead, around 2km+- on the left there is a gate,( easily missed if attention is not paid) this is the entrance to the road that leads to the temple.
The temple is a little inside and one can see spotted dears, neelgai’s monkeys and peacocl on the way.
This temple is a little bit of a climb with two man-made kunds (ponds) on the way up. One for females and another for males. The actual temple is inside a cave and the beauty is that water keeps falling on the Shiva lingam. This water is from a natural source dripping from the rocks, there is no pond or lake above.
This place is worth a visit, can be done along with the fort trip, while returning from the fort.
