Foreshore/Raven Trail

Reviewed By roamer70

The Raven Trail begins virtually in the centre of town and follows the Shushwap Lake shoreline for several kilometres. The trail hugs the marshes that line the Lake's edge and there are plenty of lookouts where you can sit at your leisure and observe the birds that are attracted to the area. The trail is flat, well maintained and is long enough for some real exercise in wonderful surroundings. Since we grew uprear train lines, the rail line that follows the lakeshore is an added plus. Don't miss this walk--it was one of the highlights of our stay.

Shuswap National Golf Course

Always the best Golf around. Best food in town as well. How do you top that? By having a killer app for your phone! Golfed here since 2010. Course is a great layout always in good shape. Greens are the best in the valley. They now have an app on the apple store and google play. GPS, Scorecard and leaderboard. With food and drink ordering as well. I've eaten twice at the restaurant and both meals have been the best I've ever had. Best Reuben and best Fish and chips ever.

Beautifully crafted golf course. Easily one of Canada's top tracks. Every hole manicured not just mown. Kudoos to course crew. Chewed me up pretty good. But all the same, the staff were great. Pro shop comps were a nice touch. Matched up with a 2some and we had a great time. Gave us some good insights and made the round enjoyable. Had lunch on the patio and we had a awesome meal served up by equally fun and great server. Well done SAGC. We'll be back.

Salmon Arm Bay Nature Enhancement Society

The only accessible natural waterfront in Salmon Arm that the city hasn’t destroyed (managed by SABNES for the Nature Trust), this 4KM stretch of level trail through the woods and grassy marshes is a delightful haven with lots of birds and lucky spottings of deer, moose and beavers. Easy to walk or cycle with dogs on a leash (except during nesting). Side boardwalks for bird and beaver sighting offer even more variety. Dandy place for every nature lover, much enjoyed by users of all ages.

High Country Trail Rides

Reviewed By scotch22

Thank you so much for the amazing ride. Our kids talked about it in the car all the way home. I was very impressed with the quality of the horses and the care and attention given to each rider. This was a highlight on our vacation. The trails were interesting and the views were spectacular. Thank you again !! And to address the negative comment from another customer that they had to wait 20 minutes, we also were a little late leaving and coming back. Why? Because the owner and guide took a little extra time to match each horse with each rider and to ensure everyone felt safe and comfortable. These are horses, not an amusement park. I highly recommend this!
