This is an absolutely beautiful church with stunning ceilings and stained glass. It is quite large and impressive. Known for its healthing work take note of the crutches, canes, walkers and wheel chairs mounted on the walls as evidence of the special powers. Do not miss the sanctuary downstairs which is quite modern with gorgeous tile mosaics. A must see. My husband finds it the most beautiful church he has ever seen!

Shrine of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupre

Arrived on a Sunday morning and joined the mass. What a beautiful and calming feeling as you walk throughout. Many of the columns are covered with canes and crutches and etc. Makes you wonder how many people received the gift they came to pray for. Our guide brought us to see the replica of the Pieta downstairs. He said they were the only ones lucky enough to make a mold of the original. It is definitely worth the ride outside of the city.

Snow Spa

We expected something like Spa Scandinave, but it turned out to be much better. Excellent sauna (what a great idea with under-bench lighting changing colors), good steam room, nice relaxation rooms with river view. The outdoor pools were excellent and we loved the Waterfalls in each pool, it was freezing cold outside, so thanks to Waterfalls we were able to keep our heads warm. The illuminated sails is another great idea... The price was very reasonable (they had skiers special when we were there) and the staff was very nice and friendly. The only drawback is that they close early (7pm), so we had to run there as soon as we finished skiing. We will certainly be back to this spa next time we are in the area.

Atelier Pare - Economusee de la Sculpture sur Bois

Welcome to the exciting and fascinating world of the artists of Atelier Pare. These sculptors have decided to use the many legends of Quebec as their muse to add a touch of intrigue and fantasy to the artwork that surrounds them. The atmosphere inside the economuseum is intimate and one of the artists will always take time to greet you personally and invite you to discover the gallery, workshop area and boutique where talent and inspiration meet. A visit to a sculptor's garden offers a perfect example of art seamlessly coexisting with nature. Visitors can stroll, picnic and enjoy the full environment. Open seven days a week during daylight hours it is easily accessible to people with disabilities One of the most delightful elements of the garden is the whimsical charm of discovering the creatures that exist in the legends of Quebec.

My husband and I stopped here after our visit to St. Anne de Beaupre Basilica. We were looking for something to do indoors because it was raining, and I had seen Atelier Pare briefly mentioned in a guidebook. It turned out to be well worth a stop. Even though it is a small place, we ended up spending about an hour there because the exhibits (wood sculptures) were so interesting and we enjoyed talking to the owners (who are also artists and sell their work in the small store on the premises).

Cyclorama De Jerusalem

I should have seen the reviews before paying the crazy amount of money asked for this 10 minutes look of painting...
I went there and the language spoken was Russian so we could not understand a single word, there is no other support or anything to do if you don't speak what they are saying (and there is no information before you pay your 11 CAD to enter...
My suggestion is don't go there unless you have a lot of money to expend and in that case just give it to charity in the church next to instead of expend it there :)
