Royal Tunbridge Wells is a large affluent town in western Kent, England, around 40 miles (64 km) south-east of central London by road and 34.5 miles (55.5 km) by rail. The town is situated close to the border of Kent with East Sussex, and is situated upon the northern edge of the High Weald, whose sandstone geology is exemplified by the rock formations at the Wellington Rocks and High Rocks.

It's a little bit like walking back in time, into a small, dark venue that is a little rough around the edges but this is absolutely perfect for a lot of the music showcased here. Great covers bands, Punk, Country/Folk Rock and some big names too.
Capacity for only 250 people makes this an intimate venue allowing you to be up close to the music.

I came to Dunorlan Park today with 3 of my children, not been for a while and thought it a good idea for the playground and feeding the ducks. It was great but such a shame there is no paved footpath to and from the playground area. It was so muddy we all got in quite a mess not to mention the mud all over the pushchair. There was quite a lot of standing water on parts of the path where drainage could be improved. I understand that this has great cost implications but this would make such a difference and encourage visitors or a more regular basis.

The warm welcome from the national trust team sets you off on a wonderful experience at Scotney Castle, the grounds, the house and the old castle are simply wonderful exhibits. We visited in winter and it was beautifully picturesque, in the summer I can imagine its a place where you can spend the whole day relaxing and enjoying the surroundings.

Having been turned away from Scotney Castle due to a full car park, we saw a sign for Bewl Water and decided to take a look. What a wonderful find! Large car park at only £2 per car. Cafe with a good selection of drinks, cakes & snacks as well as hot food. Free WiFi. Clean toilets. Plenty of activities for the whole family. Great walks. A few too many dogs either on long leads or running free. Couldn’t find how to pay for car parking so didn’t actually pay the £2; maybe out of season is free? Not 100% sure.

A great opportunity to enjoy a rest mid-shop, take in some beautiful scenery, and grab a bite to eat at the cafe. Festivals in the summer and during the Christmas period there is an ice rink and pop-up eateries. Something for everyone in every season.

As my title suggests this is a very small ruin & is somewhat off the beaten track.
We like visiting Castles etc but on parking up here & checking the prices and from what we could see as we walked to the entrance we decided to take a rain check on our visit.

Eight of us went to Fenton's curling rink. The sessions last two hours, with a short video to start.
Shoes are provided, and there is a bar to buy food and drinks from.
The curling itself was much harder but also much more fun than we were expecting and personally I would go again!
The coaches are very experienced and helpful but also leave you to get on with it if you want!
Great day out!

Finally found tickets to see Phill Jupitus. Was not dissapointed. 2 1/2 hours of great poetry and comedy. Enjoyed the tunnocks too! Nice small venue with a well stocked bar including old dairy ale and other good local beers on draft. Will definately see other acts here.

Large amount of really interesting exhibits in a very small space, just two rooms really. A lot of really beautiful examples of Tunbridge ware, I'm afraid I just examined the lovely objects and skipped the explanations of the history and techniques of Tunbridge ware. Then there were good displays illustrating the history of Tunbridge Wells, and local geology and archaeology etc. Exhibits are well chosen and the explanatory materials are meticulous and well displayed. All in all, an excellent, well presented small town museum. Then there's the art gallery! An excellent photographic exhibition when I visited, based on work by a local nineteenth century photographer. Lastly, I should mention that the building is interesting and quite beautiful - 1950s classical revival with some lovely decorative features.
