Rimouski (/ˌrɪmu'ski/) is a city in Quebec, Canada. Rimouski is located in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region, at the mouth of the Rimouski River. It has a population of 46,860 (as of 2011). Rimouski is the site of Université du Québec à Rimouski, the Cégep de Rimouski (which includes the Institut maritime du Québec) and the Music Conservatory. It is also the home of some ocean sciences research centres (see below).

Every morning we could observe birds of different species while walking on the beach, taking beautiful photos or kayaking. The walks in the trails of the Park took us in picturesque landscapes that we could admire Belvedere landscaped for the The view, the view around was breathtaking! Splendid sunsets also delighted the eyes of amateur photographers.

We took the Submarine tour and loved it , only problem is that if you are claustrophobic you wont be able to do it.. my wife had to turn arround at the 11th station and there was 22 total.. the trouble is that for each...MoreDid your wife asked for the tour on DVD ? it is possible, for people who are claustrophobic, to do the tour with a DVD...in the largest room of the submarine, the torpedo room!near the door....

What a gem! We stopped here with our 10 and 14 year old girls and had a blast. I have never seen such a great park- water park, piano, toys (frisbees, balls etc), adult exercise park, climbing equipment- all in the river front. A great picnic spot for all ages!

Although we are visiting family when we come to Rimouski, we always stop at the tourist bureau to see what is happening while we will be in Rimouski. The staff are always helpful. One of the nice courtesies extended to tourists is that you can get a parking pass for your car so you do not have to pay for parking at the meters in Rimouski. What a great idea and of course, we always do some shopping and stop for coffee in town. It is nice not to have to keep an eye on the time while enjoying the still vibrant downtown.

This house is only open at certain days during the season however you can still browse its grounds and view the outdoor exhibits. Half timbering is displayed along with other types of house construction. Unfortunately, the interpretative displays are written only in French.

This was a very hands-on visit, we were able to feed a lot of the animals.
Our children were looking forward to this visit a lot and I don't think they were disappointed.
Sheep, horses, ponies, rabbits, llamas, ostriches, and so on.
Staff was very nice to us and it was a very nice afternoon.
Plan at least an hour and a half for the whole visit.
It is worth the detour even if it's not too close from anything else.
And let's be honest, what beats petting baby rabbits?

This is a scenic walking, biking, running trail that wraps along its coastline allowing front row seat to observe tide changes and the ships that cruise along the river. Rimouski is a beautiful town despite its obvious urban sprawl. We were lucky the weather was gorgeous at 72- 75 degrees we had the chance to stroll and enjoy the path.

Cette église est vouée à Sainte-Anne, patronne des marins. Elle est située à moins d'un kilomètre du site historique maritime de Pointe-au-Père(sous-marin Onondaga).
A l'extérieur de l'église, vous trouverez un très grand stationnement, le Calvaire, le parc de l'église, une grotte de la Vierge Marie et une Grande Statue de Sainte-Anne.
A l'intérieur de l'église, on peut apercevoir de beaux vitraux et la Statue de Sainte-Anne près du chœur de l'église.
L'entrée est libre.

Ce parc est magnifique. Plusieurs sentiers pédestres y sont aménagés. Dans le stationnement, vous trouverez un panneau d'interprétation avec une carte vous indiquant les principaux sentiers. Au début du parcours un jardin communautaire a été aménagé.
Dans le parc, deux belvédères et près de dix présentoirs d'interprétation nous relatent les faits marquants du village du Bic. Le point culminant est l'immense croix qu'on peut apercevoir le jour et qui est éclairé la nuit. Un abri avec tables pour manger notre lunch ainsi que quelques bancs de parc parsèment le parcours.
Le parc du Mont Saint-Louis est l'endroit tout désigné pour avoir une vue sur les îles du Bic, le village, le terrain de golf, l'église, l'estuaire de la rivière du Bic et le Parc National du Bic. Et que dire des couchers de soleil...
Si le manque de temps ne vous permet pas de visiter le Parc National du Bic, un petit arrêt au Parc du Mont Saint-Louis vous enchantera.
