The gorge is short (around 200 meters) but spectacular, especially after heavy rains. I had the luck to visit it in such conditions and the roaring river, the mist and the lush green forest environment was just breathtaking! Definitely recommended for anyone in the area to experience the force of a small but powerful river: the Wimbach.

This facility is designed to handles almost any group from solo travellers to corporate events. Clean, well-orgnaized and located in Berchtesgaden Parklplatz (national park). Bus 846 comes right to the doorsteps of the hotel and is only 20-30 minutes from Berchtesgaden HBF where all buses can be had, even 840 to Salzburg (you'll need to pay an extra 5 Euros to cross the border into Austria). Pay the local taxes when purchasing your hotel room and you'll get a public bus card where all local buses are free.

The temple is often called the most-photgraphed one in Germany, part of many albums because of the idillic scenery. Confirmed. It could not even be more near to the Bavarian heart if someone had painted it with Bayern Munich's colors. A small gift shop is just a stone-throw away and the graveyard is also worth a visit!
