National Palace of Queluz

Royal residence of two generations of monarchs, only fifteen minutes away from Lisbon, the National Palace of Queluz is intimately linked with significant figures in Portuguese history. Today it constitutes a major heritage site in Portuguese architecture and landscaping, and contains an important collection which reflects royal taste during the eighteenth and nineteenth century - from Baroque, through Rococo, to Neoclassicism.

Amazing palace modeled on Versailles, and in the process of major restoration and renovation. Interior done with the level of detail you would expect in a palace, with inlaid tile, marble, lead crystal chandeliers, hand worked rugs, some original furniture, paintings and more gold leaf than you can imagine (unless you've been to Versailles). Mini Hall of Mirrors, too. Beautiful Gardens, National treasure with a facinating history.

Botequim Da Padaria

Reviewed By 1950marcus2014 - Vernon, Canada

Great little store to visit and purchase a bottle of wine or port or to sit and have a glass of either and chat with the owner. Carlos Fernandes knows a great deal about the area and if not too busy very willing to sit and chat. Opens at 4 in the afternoon and can also provide meats and cheese platter for an appetizer. Very reasonable prices and just up the street from the Palacio de Queluz. After discovering his place on the first night we went back each night during our stay for 3 nights in Queluz as the atmosphere is very relaxing and great to chat with the owner.

Spacious free entry Parque Felicio Loureiro was filled with flowering Bergenia,s and iris Germanica on a sunny february morning.
During my walk to Queluz Palace I enjoyed the vast flower Gardens, bordered by a small stream and nothing as spectacular as the Gardens of Queluz Palace(3euro 8,50 with interior) they were are nice flower filled walk between Queluz Bellas metro station and the palace.

HAIL Rock Club

Reviewed By pietrahead - Amadora, Portugal

Forget about Hard Rock franchise, today it's more of a Pop sell out.
HAIL Rock Club is that place that you searched for in ages, but you surprisingly found out to be in Sintra, Queluz, Portugal.
Small and cozy two floor place, Lovelly mezzanine, nice selection of Beers, wines and spirits, and, one of a kind Heavy Metal environment that will warm your soul.
Took my 10 y.o. daughter with us and she found it great, as some other kids where there with their parents..... by the way, the kids loved when the Bartender call the youngsters in the place and offered them a Virgin Shot at the Bar.
Great Music, Metal Videos and Concerts, nice Bar chat with friends and the wildlife and eventually, a live performance, makes HAIL Rock Club the rock spot that you should be in touch with!

3ra vez a mesma conversa do senhor a fazer. Ate hoje não me deram factura nenhuma do pagamento, NÃO RECOMENDO A NINGUÉM!!! Uma falta de profissionalismo autêntica. Procurem outros spas porque tem muitos, de certeza com melhores condições e melhor atendimento ao público.
