Nyanza Province (Kenyan English pronunciation: [ˈɲaːnzə]; Swahili: Mkoa wa Nyanza) was one of Kenya's eight administrative provinces before the formation of the 47 counties under the 2010 constitution. Six counties were organised in the area of the former province.

This Tour is best for any traveler as it crisscrosses the country with so many different vegetation and sceneries. From Nairobi city, we pass through the Rift Valley province to Maasai Mara game reserve to see the many animals which abound the park including the big five. You then drive through Kilgoris to Awendo Sugar belt with a Sony sugar processing factory. Through to the mythological sites of Thim Lich Ohinga in Migori, Nyamgodho in Homa bay County, Kit Mikayi and Lwanda Magere in Kisumu county. Not forgetting the oldest Gold mines of Macalder in Migori and the tea highlands of Kericho County. The tour will also take you to the beautiful and historical Islands in Lake Victoria that is Rusinga Island and Mfangano Island. The two islands are the home of the Suba tribe which is a Bantu tribe that came to Kenya from Uganda and got assimilated to the bigger Luo tribe.

Masai Mara is an amazing experience and wish I had stayed a little longer. Lake Nakuru is also a wonderous place that needs to be visited. I plan to go again at some point.our guide was Absolutely terrific and we were lucky to be teamed up with some awesome people. I thought I had written this review already but I’m being reminded to do it so it is a little late in but I would tell anyone to just go do it. We could hear Hyena’s laughing at night time from our tent. We visited the Masai village which is an experience and a great insight as to how they live. Oh the tea they make you is very sweet but very very nice. It says we visited July but would allow me put the Jan ‘19 in it.

On this short tour, learn more about the legendary story behind the famous Rock known as Kit Mikayi which in Luo dialect means “the stone of the first wife” The story being- long time ago, there was an old man who was in great love with the stone. He waked up in the morning and walked into the cave inside the stone and stay there the whole day, and this forced his wife to bring him breakfast and lunch every day. The love was passionate to the extent that when people asked the wife his whereabouts, she could answer that he was with his first wife (Mikayi) hence the stone of the first wife (Kit Mikayi).
