Igrexa de Santa Maria a Nova

We had a great guide for a quick view of this church with many tombstones exhibited inside the mostly emptied interior. We learned a bit how to read the symbols on the stone showing the occupation of those buried. The actual cemetery is outside the church, which we only had time to glimpse in passing but which we'd like to stroll through on a return trip.

This church is not a grand Cathedral or such. It's a great landmark for navigation around the old medieval centre of Noia. The exterior is very worn but has some interesting details.

Just landed in Galicia and headed to Noia's Alameda. Enjoying a coffee and churros in this normally calming environment however, it's currently in 'Obras' lots of workmen working on the decorative floor so is a little noisy but does not matter as I'm on holiday and nothing is going is to spoil it!!! (Fingers crossed)
