January 21, 2022 Mikaela Didonna

Known as the safari capital of Africa, Nairobi is an energetic, modern city that serves as a fascinating introduction to both wildlife and nightlife. Music clubs pulse with life, shops and markets bustle, and a mélange of restaurants will tempt your palate in this former Maasai watering hole. Top sights include the Karen Blixen Museum, Giraffe Centre and the black rhinos of Nairobi National Park. The compact city center is safe to walk in and taxis make other areas accessible.

About one hours drive from Nairobi along the 'top road' to Naivasha, turn left at the petrol station with the viewpoint. Its well signposted. From there you drive a few more kms into the forest - scenic drive, road a bit rough in places. Amongst the activities offered are cycling, horse-riding, archery and nature walks, but the main attraction here is the 2.2 km of fantastic zip-lining over the forest valleys. There are 6 zip lines in total on a course that takes 2 hours to complete or you can opt to do just 2. The guides are very professional and good fun. The scenery is spectacular the whole way round and you are zipping over forests, water-falls, colobus monkeys. It doesn't take any particularly difficult skills (they equip you with those you do need before you take off) just a bit of dare-devil. The challenge is getting to the end of the zipline so you don't have to be hauled in by the instructor! It is quite tiring if you don't make it to the end as you have to try to help yourself along the wire for a bit and for those not so fit people there is one hill in particular that could be challenging. I am in my 50's, with bad knees and quite a big lass, but I still managed fine. We had a decent meal at the end of the ziplining (paneer curry to be recommended), which they advise you to order in advance which we were glad of, as we were starving. Good coffee etc also available. The rest of the group went off and did archery for another couple of hours which they all really enjoyed. I relaxed with the great view and caught up with some work! Found it very reasonably priced for what you get and would definitely go back. Great place to take visitors. There is apparently some basic accommodation available and they are building some nice rooms at the moment - good idea as you could easily spend a couple of days here.

This place has some amazing vibe to it!! We keep going back as the prices are pocket friendly too...there's a ton of activities for all different age groups from toddler to 99... the staff is super nice and friendly so we are happy to leave our son downstairs while he enjoys the trampoline, rope course and VR while we enjoy a game or two of bowling and pool... all in all definitely one of the top places in Nairobi to spend a fun day with friends and family.

I wish I had the most appropriate word to express the kind of fun I had while at this place and the love I have for it as well as the country in which it is, it was my first time go carting but for a moment I felt a Hamilton or Turbo, There is also paint balling but I wasn't able to go for that though it's fun too but those rides are the best, technology impressed me a lot as results are instant on hard copy, live screens as well as email hence they keep motivating you to go back for another Round and another Round and another Round to make sure you keep breaking your own records. I would write a whole book of 1000 pages about this place but all I can say it one the one can't miss when they visit Nairobi, Kenya. Asante sana
