The Mora Freshwater Aquarium is a public aquarium dedicated to Freshwater ecosystems, privileging the knowledge of their diversity, importance and relation with humanity. The Aquarium was inaugurated at the 21st March of 2007 and along your visit to the exhibits you will know some of the Freshwater species of Portugal from the stream to the mouth of a river, others that occur in the Iberian Peninsula, and also from the hydrographic basin of the Amazon river and large African lakes of the Rift Valley.

There are much bigger Aquariums around than this one, but given it's remote location, if you are in the area, then well worth a visit. There are a wide variety of fish to see and the place is clean and tidy with excellent toilet facilities and a little cafe. If you do visit, then make sure you take the walk along the fantastic riverside raised wooden walkway (which is free ), just 100 m away. This stretches for over a mile long and on a nice day, is quite magnificent. We enjoyed our visit to The Fluviario and would recommend it. Happy memories of a lovely holiday.

Se si è in giro alla ricerca dei tanti monumenti megalitici della regione, val la pena di fermarsi un attimo a Mora dove c’è questo museo interattivo realizzato ristrutturando la vecchia stazione. Ci sono spazi abbastanza didattici per i giovani ma anche una varietà di reperti. Interessante.

Bonita iglesia tanto en su interior como en el exterior , deslumbrantemente blanco, con un coqueto Cementerio adosado a la parte del ábside.

A envolvência do largo é muito agradável. Espaços para sentar, apanhar sol e trocar dois dedos de conversa morna e saborosa, bem ao estilo alentejano.

Muito linda, vale muito fazer essa visita. Linha de ônibus saindo da rodoviária de Salvador em horários regulares. Aproximadamente uma hora e quinze de viagem. Da para ir e voltar no mesmo dia. Se quiserem explorar as praias indico Praia de Cabuçu, e outras próximas muito lindas com barracas de praia que servem deliciosas receitas com frutos do mar.

A capela está fechada e algo degradada acesso só a pé ou 4x4, justifica-se a visita pela proximidade à torre das águias.
