Idyllisch am Fusse des Napfs gelegen, mit einem der schönsten Dorfkerne in der ganzen Schweiz, so präsentiert sich Luthern seinen Besuchern. Der Dorfkern von Luthern gilt als der schönste weitherum. Die Pfarrkirche und die umliegenden Häuser (Pfarrhof, Zehntenscheune und Gemeindehaus) gehen auf die Bautätigkeit des Klosters St. Urban zurück und wurden 1752 bis 1781 erbaut. Der hinten im Tal gelegene Wallfahrtsort Luthern Bad geht auf eine wundersame Heilung des gichtkranken Jakob Minder an Pfingsten 1581 zurück und wird bis auf den heutigen Tag nicht zuletzt dank dem neuen, mystischen Arm- und Fussbad stark besucht.
