Glomtinden

This hike is one of the easiest hike in Lofoten, but do provide a very good view. Not a far drive from Svolvær or Henningsvær.

Ryten

Reviewed By Kimmen1 - Alesund, Norway

This was an enjoyable hike with an iconic Instagram-point near the top. Parking at the end of the road at Fredvang. You will find two options and both are close to the trailhead. NOK 100 for a day. Nice terrain and superb photos taken on top (and under) the rock at the top, with Kvalvika beach as backdrop. Please take care of yourself when taking these photos, we do not want anyone to get hurt on our landmarks. The terrain is mud and gravel and you will use 1-2 hours to the top, depending on how fit you are. Enjoy!

Himmeltinden

On Vestvagøy you can pick and choose among rides high and low. The highest peak is "Himmeltinden" The tour starts from Uutakleiv og Haukland beach. The main top is 964 meters above sea level. The view is breathtaking. The hike to Vestvagøy islands highest peak takes 5-6 hours up and down, not marked, partly trail. More information about the trip at the local tourist office in Leknes.

Tjeldbergtind

This route was suggested in Tourist office as an alternative to Fløya in a rainy day. We are experienced hikers, but I didn’t want to take a risk to take kids up if the weather will get worse. We walked from boats marina to the start of the trail next to fire station. The trail starts as a tractor way and continues through the steep forest after. There are 2 tops you can access walking the same ridge. The both are easy, but the higher one had 20-30 meters you need to hold a rope. Views from both are breathtaking. Good hiking shoes are always advised!
