Emmanuel was so knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs, we really couldn't have asked for a better experience or tour guide. He was truly concerned about providing us the best service available even if it meant a very long day for him and extra effort. Just a wonderful experience in Montreux. We have traveled quite a bit and used guides before, but we've never had a better guide or person than Emmanuel.

People working there are nice but this doesnt mean (unfortunately) tours are good, organisation should be improved. Annecy was a beautiful place but you Can hardly hear the record they play during the tour with historic detaills and once in the city you are alone and free to explore on your own. I was supposed to go on a city tour as well which was cancelled and I got to know this once I was there ready to start... They found a place for me in a cheaper tour... Refunding me the difference and the driver forgot to pick me up to do the third part... Luckily I have a swiss phone so I could call the agency. Also would say they cant speak good English so it makes communication difficult.

Official ticket for Château de Gruyères. Package for 2 adults and up to 3 children under 16. Since the 13th century, the Château de Gruyères has dominated a green hill in the heart of Switzerland. Bathed in a grandiose panorama at the foot of the Alps, the medieval fortress was successively occupied by the counts who erected it, by the bailiffs of Friborg, then by the Geneva families Bovy and Balland before opening its doors to the public in 1938 . Among its treasures, we thus discover: the screeds of the Order of the Golden Fleece and the delicate stained-glass windows from the Middle Ages; the frescoes commissioned by the bailiffs under the Ancien Régime; paintings by Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot and the troubadour decorations of the Salle des Chevaliers created in Gruyères in the 19th century by a colony of passionate artists. From the ramparts to the formal gardens, from the guard room to the romantic lounges, the Château de Gruyères takes you through eight centuries of art, history and legends.

In a medieval town there is of course a castle. This particular castle is in Gruyère a small town in Canton Fribourg. The outside appearance of this chateau-castle is as you would imagine a fairy tale castle to appear. The view from the castle to the valley and the snow covered mountain is amazing and just beautiful. The people at the reception are very kind and cheerful. I would advise you to carry a small bag or even better none at all the reason for that is you have to carry it on your front or hold it which is uncomfortable. The rooms were a bit disconcerting as it was a mixture of different eras from Middle Ages, baroque to moderne. Also acclaimed artist had there intervention. The rooms didn’t seem to blend well and there was no specific order. There weren’t a lot of historical information about the place only a small text about each room. In conclusion the venue and building are very nice and worth seeing but the inside is different and not very interesting. A great place to go if you are in the area but I wouldn’t travel there especially to see it.
