What to do and see in Kitsilano, Canada: The Best Things to do

March 6, 2022 Marianna Hollaway

Vancouver was founded as “Gastown” by an Englishman with a penchant for beer and storytelling. Today Gastown is a historic section of the Canadian metropolis, and the lively pubs still reflect the area’s former status as a sort of community drinking center. The city’s forests, grand parks, and impressive suspension bridge beckon travelers to explore them, as do the city’s shops and museums. Relive the glory of the 2010 Winter Games with visits to Olympic venues and the marvelous Olympic Cauldron.

Was recommended this store by a friend and impressed by the service provided by the staff. They have a relatively large range of shoes for an independent retailer and I managed to find a pair of running shoes that fit me after advice from the warm and friendly staff. Would go there again if I'm visiting the area.

Ashely Craniosacral Therapy....Unbelievable! Since moving to Vancouver in 2018, I frequently visit Halsa to partake in Ashley’s Craniosacral work. Her magical touch creates an ecosystem of deep relaxation, release and euphoric energy. I can not speak highly enough of the incredible work Ashley has cultivated through her practice and how it has aided me in not only processing and becoming more present with grief, uncertainty and now onwards to motivation! Also, Halsa provides an atmosphere in resemblance of a heavenly retreat in the heart of Kitsilano! Make sure you provide ample time to enjoy their tasty teas, unique collections of books and cozy couches after a Craniosacral session with Ashley!

Footworks Relaxology

I keep coming back here because the place is relaxing even before you settle in -- super chill music, and chairs that recline as far back as you like (almost to horizontal) and the option for essential oils all combine to make for a peaceful vibe. My last foot massage was with Ami -- she was so good i almost hate to share her name here. (best kept secret not a secret. Oh well).
