Kiambethu Farm

Come and enjoy a lunch time tour of the farm with Fiona... Arrive at 11am and over a cup of tea or coffee the history of the farm and process of making tea is informally explained, followed by an opportunity to see tea in the field. Then take a walk in the indigenous forest with our resident Kenyan guide who will identify the plants and explain how they are traditionally used. Look out for the Colobus monkeys close up and wander in the gardens which are home to a wide variety of birds and flowers. Return to the house to enjoy a pre-lunch drink on the verandah with sweeping views across the tea fields to the Ngong Hills. Enjoy your three course buffet lunch from our set menu prepared with vegetables from the garden and desserts are topped with cream from our herd of Channel Island cows. Advance booking is essential, cost is Kshs.3,800 per person all inclusive, children under 12 are half price.

We visited Kiambethu earlier today and it was a superb experience. A short picturesque drive from Nairobi CBD area, it is a perfect day trip to do. From the welcome we received once we arrived, to the tremendous talk that Fiona gave us about tea (we learnt so much, and yet it was not information overload) and finally to the amazing tea and lunch - everything was just perfect. The farm house is really charming and lawn and gardens are beautiful and a great place to spend some time too. The walk through the indigenous forest was also refreshing. Fiona and the team have really made their home a little piece of heaven and it was lovely to be their guests for the day - everyone makes you feel right at home. The only difficulty with coming here is that you don't want to leave.

Mount Kenya

It was really amazing trip ever We organised our trip with “Kili Land Adventures” the Tour Company trom Tanzania and were more than satisfied. It was our first time in Africa and therefore we were a bit nervous at the beginning not knowing how things are organized there. Daniel already gave his very best before our arrival to ease our tension professionally answering lots and lots of mails and providing us with all the necessary information. This gave us a good feeling. As soon as we arrived in the border of Kenya and Tanzania everything went absolutely smoothly. We were picked up by Daniel's team and driven to everything and walking with us to Point Lenana. It was a pleasure to spend five days in the National Park with him, our cook Priver (who was able to surprise us every single day anew by how amazing food can taste even on these heights) and our six lovely porters. All in all it was an amazing tour and we highly recommend the team of “Kili Land Adventures”!!! Thanks a lot for everything a toir to remember from Mount Kilimanjaro Tanzania to Mount Kenya great Company to works with thank Daniel and his team

Mara Naboisho Conservancy

Reviewed By africanman_840 - Nairobi, Kenya

I was recently there and have to say that I really enjoyed it. The wildlife viewing was excellent. Furthermore, I saw only a few other tourists. I think that the problem of the Masai taking over the conservancies with their cattle has been somewhat exaggerated. There is still plenty of room for wildlife and cattle.

Safaris Unlimited

Reviewed By ebosshard1 - Cleveland, United States

My wife and I have been blessed to travel the world, checking a number of bucket list spots for both luxury (St Barts, Blackberry Farm, Wolgan Valley) and adventure (night diving the Great Barrier Reef, hiking the fjords of Iceland). Our time with Gordie and his amazing wife Felicia is now at the top of this list. The covid protocols to get to/into Kenya were quite manageable, and 8 days with Safari Unlimited felt like a trip to a time forgotten on so many levels. The serenity of time in nature, the adventure of riding our world class horses across the Mara river, the companionship with our hosts during perfect lunch siestas in the bush, a friendly “jambo” wake up with hot coffee and cookies each morning in our so comfortable tents all reflect what this team has to offer: generations of experience refining the most spectacular way to take in this most exceptional place on earth. What was surprising for us was pretty much everything, including feeling part of the Church family with Gordie, Felicia, and their staff who are really their (and now our) friends. When Gordie met us on the airstrip, and discovered this was our first safari, he said “well, after this trip you will be spoiled to see the Mara in any other way.” And over the next 8 days, this crew effortlessly made this promise more than come true. If you are reading this post in order to determine if this is a trip for you, you can stop reading now, just get in touch with Gordie and start counting the days until what will be the greatest travel experience of your life.
