Jordan (/ˈdʒɔːrdən/; Arabic: الْأُرْدُنّ‎ Al-‘Urdunn [al.ʔur.dunn]), officially The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (Arabic: المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية‎ Al-Mamlakah Al-Urdunnīyah Al-Hāshimīyah), is a sovereign Arab state in western Asia, on the East Bank of the Jordan River. Jordan is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the south, Iraq to the north-east, Syria to the north, Israel and Palestine to the west. The Dead Sea lies along its western borders and the country has a small shoreline on the Red Sea in its extreme south-west, but is otherwise landlocked. Jordan is strategically located at the crossroads of Asia, Africa and Europe. The capital, Amman, is Jordan's most populous city as well as the country's economic, political and cultural centre.

Thank you so much Jordan Horizons Tours for your prompt and unquestioned refund of the full deposit paid for our planned trip. We were so disappointed to miss this trip - but the pandemic changed so many plans for so many people. Our shore excursion from Aqaba for 12 people ( 6 couples) had been meticulously planned with Andrea by email. We definitely would like the opportunity to visit Jordan in the future - perhaps a longer trip, not just a shore excursion. Absolutely recommend Jordan Horizons Tours and would book with them again

This is a long day trip so choose your vehicle wisely, make sure that you have sufficient room. Petra is incredible and photographs, however good do not do it justice. When you stand in front of the Treasury the sheer spectacle of the facade is mind blowing. At 76 I used a horse drawn carriage and I have the feeling that the horses could be better cared for. Ultimately the electric buggies used on golf courses may be the answer. Wadi Rum is also a fascinating place and it proves that even the desert can be very beautiful. Glad to have seen it.

Dahab provided a great day tour from Aqaba and were extremely accomodating when my flight to Aqaba was cancelled and I needed to move the tour back an hour. Our lovely driver was early and efficient, happy to stop for snacks on the long drive to Petra (as we had an early flight and missed breakfast) and found us a brilliant guide on sight. We had a fantastic day and a great experience seeing the spectacular Lost City and I'd recommend Dahab Safari Day Tours to anyone, especially for the price in comparison to competitors.
