Superb for swimming. I go every morning and afternoon. No sharks , they rather stay in Recife. Very beautiful bay and quiet as well. I imagine Rio de Janeiro was more or less the same in the fifties and every sixties

The river / beach is very instresting we can enjoy of beach and river, it's amazing and calm all the time, there is a bar very good, and taste food; The sea food options is very very delicious;

The beach are cool, beatiful and calm, we stayed at Picaozinho for many hour and enjoy all the time, we can enjoy the beach like a pool.

Stayed in the Ibis hotel...30 yards from the front door is this beach and walkway. Pleasant place to walk and with the number of local tourists about, a safe place to be. Plenty bars and places to eat. Loved it.
