We are a group of Ex-pats who have been in Shanghai an average of 7 years. We can honestly share that this experience will be one of the high lights of our time here. It is one thing to view the Bund from either side looking over to the other. It exceeds your expectations to see it from the middle of the river. Alana was an outstanding host from start to finish. She checked in during the entire process making sure we had what we needed and even thought of extra ways to make this celebration better. The Champaign was Moet and the View was priceless. Thank you again for making our time in your beautiful city even more memorable. Cheers!!!!!

We were so glad we did this tour vs. just walking Forbidden CIty ourselves. Connie our guide was super knowledgeable, contextualized and explained the history of the place and led us to places / photo ops inside Forbidden City which we would have never discovered otherwise. She picked us up at our hotel and we took the bus there, everything went smooth until we were inside and and we didn't feel rushed. Plenty of time to explore and Jingshan Park afterwards was great as well. Well organized with a great guide and we learned so much about Chinese history. Highly recommended!

10. Silk Road Adventure

Trips@Asia

For centuries Westerners have been intrigued by the Silk Road, which was the first connection between the East and the West, conveying goods, knowledge, and messages of peace and war across Eurasia. Traders’ camel caravans – laden with silk, tea, porcelain, and other goods from China and other parts of Asia – made their way westwards to the Middle East. From there, goods were taken on by sea and other forms of transportation to Europe and beyond. Crossing vast open plains, mysterious deserts, high mountain passes, and foreign – sometimes hostile – territories, these traders put their lives in the hands of the gods, hoping to bring prosperity to their families. We shall explore these ancient trade routes the old way – overland. Starting from Xi’an, the then Chinese capital, we travel all the way to Kashgar in the far west near the borders with central Asian republics, meeting different cultures and religions, and exploring the diversified landscapes of this remote region.
