We were there on a 2nd week of December 2019. Took about an hour train ride to reach Maihama station, collect our tickets and headed to the entrance. Despite it was a Tuesday, there were lot of people headed to Disneyland (or Disneysea), tourists and local alike. We headed to the Tomorrowland first, managed to get fast tickets to 'Monster Inc' while we ride on the Star Tours. Space Mountain was closed while we were there. We managed to catch the Christmas Parade at 10.30, ate our lunch and waited for the Dreamin Up Parade at 1.20pm and the Night 'Dreamlights' Parade too. (Tip: get a seat 1 hour before the Parade starts). We didn't have luck on the Lottery for both the Shows (located in Tomorrowland), hence we skipped those. We queue up for the Dumbo Ride in Fantasyland and managed to ride on Big Thunder Mountain (about 40-45 minutes queue) and went for rides with less queues; Toon Park, Island raft, Treehouse, Western Railroad, Pirates of the Carribean. Towards late afternoon, we noticed the groups of tourists had left, we went back to Tomorrowland and ride on Buzzlightyear with lesser queue. After the Parade, we managed to stay for the fireworks far left from the castle-with-no-sphere-and-under-refurbishment.) All in all, we were filled with Disney vibe to the brim, especially so for my youngest boy, his first Disneyland trip!

The official climbing season only runs from the beginning of July to the end of August, but you can take the train from Toyko to the fifth station any season.

Since travelling to Japan in my teenage years and seeing Mt Fuji from our bullet train I have had a fascination with it. On my next trip it was in the clouds! On my third trip I did a day tour to 5th station and several other spots which were meant to offer you extensive views but it was again in the clouds. This time I was determined to spend a few days in the area so that I gave myself every opportunity to see it in its full glory. As it was March the snow was too far down the mountain so fifth station was closed. Our Airbnb in Lake Kawaguchi had magnificent views. We sighted the mountain from the train and then travelled by bus to our destination. Clear skies and the most incredible views. It was quite chilly at Lake Kawaguchi but well worth the effort. We hopped on a bus that took us to several spots where you could pay for a day pass and jump on and off as often as you like. Got so many amazing photos, my friends who were with us were blessed as they didn’t realise how elusive it can be. Mt Fuji is very dear to me due to my heritage (my grandma is Japanese and my grandpa met her after the war) and I see it as the symbol of Japan and one to be treasured. I have not finished yet I aim to get back and do the climb! Also when travelling on the train ask for the side with views, I didn’t have to ask when booking all my train travel they just automatically put us on the best side every time to experience the best views.

This is the birthplace of Zen Buddhism. The Enryaku hotel was, traditional Japanese style, very clean and comfortable- staff was very pleasant and helpful. The food breakfast and dinner was included and extraordinary! Beautiful views of the lake and distant mountains, some days we could see My Fuji in the distance. The Japanese baths were clean and hot. 7am we walked to the main temple to participate in the morning ceremonies. We hiked the mountain and visited the ancient temples, some original and hundreds of years old- learning the story of Zen Buddhism and how it came to be on this sacred mountain.Lots of local pilgrims making offerings and praying- so peaceful

First of all it was really nice to travel during winter because the park is empty and the Q was fast (5-10 mins per ride), the extreme rides was marvelous and super fun! And at some high points on the coaster rides, I could see clearly the beautiful Mt Fuji, the snow at the park made my trip to Fuji Q highland park more memorable <3

Kusatsu is recognized along with Gero and Arima as one of Japan's three most famous hot spring resorts. The Yubatake (Hot Water field) is a central meeting and sightseeing spots in Kusatsu Onsen. This is the source water field for the bubbling Onsen water supplied throughout Kusatsu village. The source of the Kusatsu Hot Springs water is very impressive with the hot water running out at 52 C at this mountain town located at about 1,200 meters. Lots of little shops and places to eat. Several demonstrations throughout the day of people at a location close by of people stirring this hot water to help cool it down a bit.

Built in 1998 which connects Kobe to Iwaya in Awaji Island stands the longest central pan suspension bridge in the world - the Akashi Kaiyko Bridge. The bridge is 3911 m long with the central span the longest. The bridge can withstand Typhoons and 8.5 magnitude earthquakes. If you plan to cross the bridge the toll fee is 2300 yen. We went there from Osaka taking the JR Kobe Rapid line to Maiko station and from there can walk 3 to 5 mins from the West side. The bridge is free but the exhibition costs about 310 yen. We didn't go inside the exhibition but instead we just walked towards the bridge and its monument where we took great photos and videos together. It was also sunset so we marvelled at the sun while setting down. There are very few tourists and locals around so it was a pretty quiet and less crowded day. We didn't get a chance to cross the bridge by car to Awaji island but will definitely try it next time around. So if you visit Kobe, try passing by Maiko and marvel at the longest suspension bridge in the world.

I have watched the TV news that a baby panda was born last year. When I saw the baby, I have decided to see the panda. My high expectations have not been betrayed. The name of the child panda is “Saihin” She is a girl and so active! So cute! So lovely! You must see her. Now the crazy fever of baby panda boom has been calmed down, you can watch her very well without any clouds on week days. The adult pandas except the mother of “Saihin” was not active, just sleeping. So the timing is now to watch the lovely active child panda!

This facility is widely open for many people in free of charge. Both of kids and adults should have great times there. I bet those who are interested in aircraft, defensing activities can enjoy a lot. The exhibitions are great to see. Weapons such as missiles are displayed together with reasonable explanations. You can get into the cockpits of exhibited airplanes which had flied in the air before. This may bring you the memorial photos. Souvenir store offers great variety of air force goods, towels, shirts and so forth.

The view from Mt Okura Observatory is stunning, at night you can see the city lights spread out in front of you. The cable car was enjoyable. By the way, if you take the bus to the Observatory, make sure you know the time of the return bus, as taxis may be scarce.

You can walk,up and down the pass, by the seashore, beautiful cliffs and wooded area. Also, suspension bridges,over the coast, observing Ohshima - in Japanese,means a big island - and a nice light-house that enables you to view mountain side of the area, including Mount Omuro.. Very nice and comforting to roam, looking at the ocean out there and listening to the birds.
