But, I’ve found several unique shops such as for fashion and interior.
The bowling alley and the Game Center has some unique features such as tables for ping pong.
I can see great efforts by the developers and designers for this mall.
You can walk from the Hiratsuka station taking 15 minutes.
Bus is available from #5 spot at the station. It takes 5 minutes and 180 yen.

Not very large, not small either.
About a 10 minutes walk from the station of Hiratsuka.
This Shrine actually has 3 shrines in the area. One main one plus 2 small ones.
Good combination of trees, ponds and religious Shinto structures.
Good ambience and fresh are in the city.

平塚市美術館は、JR平塚駅から徒歩約20分のところにあります。4月に平塚に行った時に立ち寄ってみました。立派な外観の美術館です。食堂もあります。浮世絵(神奈川名所巡り)、リアルのゆくえの企画展が催されていました。休憩場所もあるので便利です。近くには、博物館もあります。芸術等に興味がある方にお勧めのスポットです。

Shonandaira is a hill sitting near the ocean made famous as the subject of a Hiroshige wood block print. Atop this hill is an Observatory built by the city. It contains restrooms, some vending machines and an observation deck. If for some reason you find yourself in Hiratsuka you will undoubtedly be directed here for the view.The view from here can be spectacular, I say can be because it is often cloudy and the view is more often than not minimal. On a good day you can see up and down the coast as well as an overview of the city of Hiratsuka. This is a favorite place for locals to wait for the sunrise on New Years day. At other times it serves as a rest station for the seniors who use the walk up to the top as an exercise routine. If it is a nice day it might be worth the trip up to the top.

平塚八幡宮の隣、八幡山公園にある洋館。内部も無料で入館できます。元は横浜ゴムの所有であったものをこちらに移築したもの。建物周囲はバラ園になっています。ピンク色のかわいらしい洋館で、塔屋があり、西側には大きくベランダがとられています。登録有形文化財の歴史的建築物です。

ラスカ平塚は、JR平塚駅があるショッピングセンターです。4月に立ち寄ったときは、１Fで京都物産展が開催されていました。京都の雰囲気、名物を楽しむことができる催しでした。屋上には広場もあり、春の天気の良い日にはgoodなスペースです。

These fireworks have been held by the local tourist association along the Shonan Coast since Showa 26 (1951). Beautiful star mines flying over the sea at night are a highlight of the event.

８月２５日に訪問
平塚駅からシャトルバスが出ていたが乗るまで４０分かかると言われ歩いて海岸へ向かう。
急ぎ足で２０分くらいかかって海岸についた。
ここが少し難点。
打ち上げ会場は港の方だがとても混んでいるので海岸での見学。
海岸は広い砂浜なので場所取りの必要は無い。
ただ打ち上げ中に波打ち際に人が集まってきて視界に入ってくるのが難点。
この花火の最大の見所は沖合から打ち上げる特大の花火。
身体にズシンと来る重低音と視界いっぱいに広がる花火の大迫力は都内の河原の花火大会では体験できない。
