We had a fantastic time here, on a 'Couples' 5 hour session. If you're worried about whether you can cope with such an activity don't be - they cater for all abilities. The staff cannot do enough to help you, and nothing is too much trouble for them. My partner made a garden ornament while I made a knife. Both look really good, and any worry that we had about not finishing in time was needless - the staff make sure that you don't leave until your piece is finished (I still have to wrap the handle of my knife but that's something for me to do in my own time). We are seriously considering returning some time next year to have a go at making something else. We took a picnic for our lunch, but you can order lunch from the local pub & have it delivered to the forge. Just make sure you bring a water bottle with you, it's thirsty work! All in all, a great time, a great experience, and a great bunch of people.

We visited Eastnor Castle on a recent short holiday in the Malverns - we are a family of four with two teenagers and a small dog. I don’t have enough positive things to say about our visit - we loved it! - there is plenty of free parking - you can take a picnic and games, find a spot in the grounds and stay all day - lovely toilets - little cafe and ice cream parlour - big adventure playground and maze - beautiful walk around the lake - very clean and well maintained But best of all is that the site and castle are all dog friendly! We were able to tour the inside of the castle and take our dog with us - which is a rare treat and should be commended. I wish more places allowed this. The castle is beautiful. I would highly recommend Eastnor Castle for a day out - well done to everyone involved

After a weekend in Gloucester we decided to drive home back up to Liverpool without using a motorway. The beautiful countryside on a sunny bank holiday Monday was a treat and then we saw signs for the castle, lots of people turning in so we decided to follow ! We are so happy that we did. The lovely lady in reception showed us on a map which attractions were available to us , she clearly explained about the one way system that had been put in place to enable social distancing. First of all we wandered around the kitchen gardens, marvelled at the abundant vegetables and fruit that was being grow and then around the beautiful gardens with the really pretty water features. We had arrived just in time for a Bird of Prey demonstration, and spent an hour sitting in the sunshine watching the different birds being flown. We then visited The Orangery cafe, I had a delicious scone with clotted cream and a coffee and my hubby had a sandwich, he said the cheese in particular was delicious . After lunch it was time to visit inside the castle, a nice lady gave us wipe clean information cards , which clearly explained lots of information about the artefacts we would see inside. Another one way system in place , but it worked very well and we enjoyed taking our time wandering around . We are so pleased we came across this gem of a place, most unexpected on our way home , really lovely end to a relaxing weekend. We felt really safe and well looked after during our visit , signage and one way system was really clear and being adhered to by all.

Holmer Park Spa and Health Club

I have been lucky enough to visit many Spas over the years, some just hotel pools masquerading as spas, but this has to be the best one I have been too. From the moment you walk in, the whole team look after you in a friendly, efficient and professional way. It is so apparent that the staff know how to do things right and make you feel welcome. The pool is excellent with enough loungers, some heated, for everyone. There are jacuzzis and foot spas, plus a sauna and steam room. I’m not sure if the steam and sauna were open due to Covid restrictions but I didn’t want to use them anyway. It’s also unusual to have a team member present at the pool and gym for any advice or problems so again this is really good. The other facilities are first class with a large and spacious gym and the changing rooms and showers are excellent. The treatment I received, hot stone massage, was lovely and the lounge was very comfortable with a ‘ dark room’ for a really relaxing rest. The cafe is worth a mention too. Lovely real fire, a spacious area and lots of tables . The grounds are super too for warmer days. The cafe prices are very competitive and the food was delicious, well cooked and presented. All the staff we encountered were excellent but a special mention must go to the blond lady serving in the cafe, I’m really sorry I dont know her name. I have been twice to this spa in the last 2 months and as I live over an hour away, this speaks for itself..
