Fabulous hotel , bar and service

Reviewed By Steve M

Fabulous stay, rooms comfortable and room very clean with a lovely view. Staff so helpful and the bar is great with a view to remember . Food good too , at breakfast go for the cooked one as its same price as continental plus drinks and includes continental ! Ross itself is a charming market town with great views and history (Man of Ross Pub well worth seeking out for a lovely traditional pub). Good bus service if a bit infrequent but with planning you can get out and explore the amazing countryside, take a good walk and have a pub lunch too. Bus 34 and 35 take you near to Symonds Yat with good walk and pub involved . 100% happy ( book direct and even get 20% off lunch or dinner!).

Great place to stay.

Great place to stay and great value for money. We stayed in room 18, on the second floor. The stairs aren’t great, but this is mentioned on the website so wasn’t a problem as we had been made aware. Breakfast was fantastic and all locally sourced. A lovely old and quirky hotel with free parking which is always a bonus. Staff were fantastic and nothing to much trouble. Will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Excellent value for money

Reviewed By helenhT9054OJ

This was a pleasant surprise and exceeded our expectations. On arrival we were greeted by Maria who assisted with us changing to a room with a double bed, I’d booked a twin by mistake. The guest house has a variety of rooms and we opted to have a room with its own little court yard. The room, bathroom and patio area were spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming. Great tea and coffee facilities and the breakfast was amazing, thanks to Anne. A nice touch was that you had the option to purchase snacks and drinks, alcoholic/ none alcoholic drinks from the bar area. Maria was extremely helpful and very friendly providing us with all the information we needed for a comfy stay, even giving us a street map of the town. Everything was in easy walking distance and the parking area was ample. All in all great central location, great spotlessly clean guesthouse, value for money and fantastic service. We have booked to come again.

Hereford City Centre (Old Market) Hotel

Our Hereford Blackfriars Street hotel is in a great location for exploring this historic market town. It's next to Hereford's Old Market shopping centre, where you can shop for plenty of high street brands, and less than a five-minute walk from Edgar Street stadium - the home of Hereford FC. Hereford is a major historical site; the 17th Century Black and White House Museum and the world's largest medieval map, the Mappa Mundi, are both under a mile away from our hotel. When you're feeling peckish, stop by our in-house Thyme restaurant for a delicious meal and when you're done for the day, look forward a relaxing sleep on one of our super-comfy Hypnos beds.

A Premier among Premier Inns

Reviewed By 908keithp

We have stayed in many Premier Inns around the country but this one is definitely in a league of its own. Customer service is obviously very important to the team and they all go out of the way to do the best they can. The hotel is spotlessly clean from reception and the Thyme 'restaurant' to the rooms and corridors. As other reviewers have said we must single out Pete for special mention. Nothing was too much trouble and he genuinely seemed interested in talking to us about our time in Hereford.

Not a good experience

Stayed for 1 night, woken up at around 5.30 am by noise that went on for ages bathroom door when shut sounded like gunfire, breakfast was not the best at all , bacon sent back only to receive a worst rasher sausage & tomato also terrible.Had a drink in lounge,a baileys which didn’t even cover the bottom of glass , amused I asked if it was a joke. The only joke was the price we paid for a terrible experience, on complaining we were told we had a discount, so glad we didn’t pay full price offered 20% off stay but considering we did not sleep or eat well was not appreciated. I am still waiting for manager to contact me to discuss issues after sending 3 emails. Avoid room 101
