Burg Hohenstaufen

Enjoy the Panorama of the central Schwäbische Alb. On a clear day you can see to Stuttgart and even the Black forest. Its a short walk up from the village of Hohenstaufen with its historic church. The small restaurant Himmel und Erde on the top of the Hohenstaufen offers a good selection of local food and drinks. A perfect place! Check the opening hours before you hike up.

Marklin Museum

We were pretty disappointed in this 'museum' which turns out to be a large Marklin model train store with some train layouts. There are a couple of walls of display cases containing almost exclusively old model trains. Where are the old model boats and cars? Also, though most items are labelled only a handful of the labels are in English as well as German. Yes - I know this is Germany but English is the most widely spoken second language in the world and I'm sure this 'museum' gets lots of foreign visitors.

Wallfahrtskirche Ave Maria

Kunsthalle

Reviewed By Stefan G - Lucerne, Switzerland

We visited the coffee bar for a quick break. Coffee with croissant and water for below 4€ sounds quite good.
The atmosphere in the evening however was relatively uncomfortable. Very bright light installation which may be supposed to be art and the extremely high cealing made it uncomfortable.
We enjoyed the view to the christmas market, the good service but not the location.
