We went to Irrland whilst holidaying in Holland. For 6 euro a person it is a great day out with slides, trampolines, Playgrounds , paddling pools , an animal farm and much more. The purchase of beverages and ices are cheap compared to other parks although hot food selection is limited but that is because they provide 100s of BBQ for people to use and either buy the meat from the park or bring their own . It is brilliant well thought out park and wish we had something like this in the UK

This place had rough times and a bankrupcy. If the start of this season Is a sign, it Is back to misery. There was not enough staff at the entry the petting zoo was not ready and the restaurant in the back ( containing the AED) was closed. The Stones at the White Buddah were loose so I almost fell. Maybe Hire some gardeners to clean up.
I hope they will clean up their act

Kevelaer is the most popular pilgrimage site in northern Germany, so there are a bunch of churches in this one area. A couple of them are worth visiting for the artwork and the historic connections.
The artwork in this place is spectacular. Better than a lot of more famous churches, its problem is it is out of the area from anything else. If in the area worth coming to see, but not to divert long distances for.
The city is also really nice, would spent some time here sitting here in restaurants enjoying the atmosphere.

His-Toerchen

Reviewed By Peter H

Das His - Törchen hatte Mittags-Pause.
His Törchen.
DI - Do. von 8:30 - 12:30 Uhr und von 14: 00 - 15:30 Uhr.
Frei. von 8:30 - 12:30 Uhr.
So. von 11:0 - 13:00 und von 15:00 17:00 Uhr.
Eintritt frei:

What a lovely place for a walk amongst the manicured Gardens or to ride the bike and carry on along the river. Stop for a coffee and homemade cake or visit the beer garden for lunch. Inside the church is lovely and quiet with a small shop. Also a painting gallery and ruins display. A huge playground for children and lots of areas for a picnic

Royal Air Force Museum Laarbruch

Reviewed By SecretSpi - Frankfurt, Germany

We (self, husband and 16-year-old son) visited the Royal Air Force Museum at Laarbruch-Weeze, having discovered it on the internet. My interest comes from a number of sources: my father was an RAF officer and although he was never based in Germany, good friends of his were. Their experiences have inspired me to write children's adventure stories about the RAF in the 50s and 60s.
Our visit was a real treat. The exhibits are fascinating in themselves, and everything is well and clearly presented and documented. But what lifted the visit into such a special and memorable experience was the knowledge and enthusiasm of the splendid chaps who run the museum, who brought everything to life for us with added information, stories and personal anecdotes. Many thanks to Ulrich, Heinz, Terry and Steve.
My only negative comment is that we couldn't stay longer as we had a long drive home ahead of us. Recommended for anyone with an interest in aviation and 20th century history, whether or not you have a personal connection with RAF Laarbruch.
