Livadi Beach

Well the beach is perfect but arriving by boat the whole place looks like a refugee camp. Tents and homebuild shelters everywhere and no chance to find some free shade. If you don't go around with complicated hair, symbolic (?)tattoos and smoking and drinking all day the so called tolerant individuals don't give you a welcoming feeling when you arrive with your family and look like tourists. The worst part was the amount of dogs that run around, pee, sniffle and disturb you all day but that's part of the game, nobody seems to care about that. Nice beach yes, and they surely will have a nice and cosy summer on that beach but it is definitely not for everyone.

You can reach this beach on foot (there is a trail from Stavros, the main village) or by bus. Pebbles. One taverna. Tranquil and somewhat remote, at least in early June. Not my favorite beach in Donousa, but still beautiful, and more sheltered on windy days, I am told.

Clear turquoise sea just lovely for swimming! Lovely sandy beach. There are some stones on immediate entry to the sea so look for a pathway into the sea that is clear of rocks.
