Villaricosub

As an OW diver, I fancied a trip into the blue whilst on holiday with my family. I decided to take my brother and sister in law along on a DSD. I found Villaricosub by chance whilst wondering around the Sunday market and was instantly welcomed by John. We made arrangements for the following Tuesday. From our arrival both John and Max were happy, friendly faces and put the nerves of my Brother and Sis in law at ease. They clearly know their stuff and provided my family with safe and enjoyable fun. Would recommend to anyone staying in the Vera area!

A visit to this Castle and the art gallery and exhibition of the local excavation of the site is well worth it.
The €2.50 entry fee also lets you visit other sites within this small town.
There is a small market outside the castle on a Tuesday and plenty of cafes to stop at for a drink. You do not need a full day here, but it's a great way to fill a morning.

We visited with our grandchildren n a party of 8. The custodian was very pleasant but Sid not speak much English. That did not matter as he interacted well with the children and the bullring itself was very interesting. There was no charge but we bought a couple of souvenirs from the gift shop and there was a tip jar. We returned later in the week to watch a demonstration of bull fighting skills (no bulls were harmed) and at that time the bar was open.
During the year there a e many events held here and the atmosphere and acoustics are very good for music and Concerts.

The beach is great , there's not much to say about sand and water. The best thing about Garrucha beach is the bars and restaurants. At night there are stalls that sell nick nacks. It seems to come alive at night, a great place to visit and well worth it!!

We visited the Plaza late afternoon / early evening and wandered the streets and visited the little shops and then came across this beautiful location. It is vibrant and trendy and has several eateries and has a stage where regular Concerts are put on. The views are spectacular from here across the surrounding countryside.

Villaricosub

The square is dominated by the Cathedral but there isn't a lot more that one can say about it from a touristic point of view. We found a reasonably priced car park in the area and managed to combine a visit to the Cathedral and the Alcazaba.

Wasa Wake Park

Reviewed By Andy H - London, United Kingdom

I visited this place 18 months ago when on vacation with my two teenage sons. Its sometimes difficult to keep them interested in family holidays now. We had never been wake-boarding before and had a great time, initially just trying to get going and then towards the end attempting (and failing) the jumps. Although the guy taking us did not speak English and we did not speak Spanish he managed to explain how to do it and get us going within the hour (20 mins each). I can recommend specially if the kids are bored of lying by the sea/pool.

Playas de Vera

Reviewed By naturistcouple1234 - Washington DC, District of Columbia

We were vacationing in Spain and driving along the Mediterranean coast. Being long time naturists we decided to spend a few days in Vera Playa. We rented a nice apartment in Vera natura and basically spent our time there nude living the naturist lifestyle. The beach is wide, long and beautiful. The sand is soft and fine. There are life guards and several beach bars as you walk. The north end of the beach is where the Vera Playa Hotel is located and is a naturist hotel. And going south is a long stretch of beach until the nude beach ends. The restaurants in the naturist area are a bit limited. Most are naturist friendly during the day but except for maybe two places you have to dress for dinner. We pretty much ate at the naturist friendly restaurants when we went out. The beach bars and restaurants are all naturist friendly but they close fairly early by european standards so dinner is usually not found there. The crowd at the beach is very mixed. Many naturist families as well as the usual groups of young and old that you would find on any beach except everyone is nude. It was a very pleasant and relaxing place to stay.
Overall, we will definitely by back to Vera Playa. The beach was beautiful and very relaxing. A great naturist beach vacation.
