What to do and see in Cape Town Central, Western Cape: The Best Walking Tours

February 4, 2022 Florencio Paulino

Cape Town glistens at the southern toe of the African continent. Tourist brochure-views at Blaauwberg Beach and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens are within easy driving distance of "The Mother City." The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve provides sweeping sea vistas, hiking trails and wildlife encounters. On a more somber note, travelers can visit Robben Island, the prison where Nelson Mandela was held for 27 years.

Only experience in comparable areas enables a person to write a qualified review. And that is exactly the reason why I wrote my following review. After many food walking tours in other cities around the world, it is easy for me to rate The-Cape-Town-Essentials-Tour described inhere with five out of five stars. Passion, expertise, experience, friendliness, hospitality, all things that I was able to experience during the tour through the tour guide Elsje. And all of this in combination with the wonderful food and drinks make the experience complete and simply perfect. In short, this is THE tourist experience in Cape Town and should not be missed by any visitor to the wonderful city of Cape Town.

This tour of Table Mountain is for the traveller who wishes to slow down and fully appreciate the natural surroundings; the flora, fauna and history. It is intimate and personal and focuses on immersion and learning about the Mountain, Cape Town and South Africa. As guides, we truly care about the quality of the tour and guests having a true and authentic experience. There is ample time for photography, flower and wildlife observation and simply becoming quiet and still in nature. Cohesion and community are also very important factors and a big effort is made, on the part of the guide, to promote a good energy, vibe and the chance to make long lasting friendships. Come and experience the best of Cape Town hiking with a qualified, experienced and friendly Hiking Guide

Join a bucket-list African adventure. We will hike Table Mountain using the lessor known, more adventurous route up, away from the crowds. Once on top, we will have a rare opportunity to walk along the Rim of Table Mountain (where tourists don't usually get to experience unless with local knowledge). After a quick picnic we then make our way to the upper Cable Station where we will take the cable car back down the mountain (if open - ticket fare not included - if the cable car is closed, we will hike down a common route)

Inclusions: National Park fees, Snacks, Fruit, Transport by private vehicle (if selected at additional cost)

Exclusions: Cable Car Ticket down, Bottled water

We booked the Scenic Cape Town Peninsula day tour. We had a wonderful day with Daryl, he was amazing! We got a completely customized tour and instead of being back at the hotel by 4pm, he dropped us of at Camps Bay at 6pm for our last sundowner in CT. We enjoyed every minute with him and have fantastic memories of our day trip! Thank you so much, Daryl, and hope to see you again!
