What to do and see in Cape Town Central, Western Cape: The Best Nightlife

February 27, 2022 Marissa Gamble

Cape Town glistens at the southern toe of the African continent. Tourist brochure-views at Blaauwberg Beach and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens are within easy driving distance of "The Mother City." The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve provides sweeping sea vistas, hiking trails and wildlife encounters. On a more somber note, travelers can visit Robben Island, the prison where Nelson Mandela was held for 27 years.

Fringe Experiences

I have been frequenting the lesser known bars and restaurants of Cape town for many years. I love to socialise and meet people and would love to show visitors the interesting places away from the usual tourist areas. I will show the you some of the inner city's best kept secrets in a big night out. And if you can't remember much of the later stages, there will be photos to refresh your memory!

We are a tour guiding company that is dedicated to doing something completely unique. We aim to move away from the main tourist attractions and look to show our guests the best kept secrets that Cape Town has to offer. By avoiding the main tourists attractions, we provide an authentic experience as we ensure that our guests get emerged into the location and the culture of the places we take them. We show our guests what the locals enjoy doing on a regular basis...we show them our perspective of what this beautiful city has to offer.

Alexander Bar, Cafe & Theatre is Cape Town's buzzing conversation bar. It's filled with old-world charm and innovative touches like old fashioned phones which you can use to order a drink or to chat up people at other tables. Upstairs there's a 40 seater theatre which is Cape Town's busiest stage with more than 10 performances per week - check the website and get discounted ticket prices if you book online. My wife found these reasonable priced tickets for a pre Valentine celebration play. It was a very casual evening. It was not well attended but we really had a good time. Will recommend for a budget evening of good value entertainment
