I have rented equipment and had skis tuned at GearUp many times over the past 15 years and confirm they are the best rental shop in the Rockies. I base this statement on personal experience and the fact that GearUp has: 1. a wide selection of new high-quality equipment, 2. knowledgeable and friendly staff, 3: convenient location and efficient process to minimize wait time. I really appreciated the safety precautions they have taken around COVID i.e. one-way flow: in one door, get Geared Up and out another separate door.

Moose Trail Overland

Moose Trail was started by a couple of Canmore Firefighters with a passion for adventure! Our goal is to bring you away from the crowds and show you something that you won’t get on other tours. Start your day on the water in a raft or on a paddle board, then enjoy some spirits at a local distillery and finally take a dive up a bumpy mountain road to an isolated lodge for Dinner. It is very common to see wildlife on our tour so don’t forget the camera!

Active by Nature

Active by Nature leads walking tours & Nordic walking tours, & guided hikes, year round, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, Canmore. Walks are conducted on the town's recreational trail system, featuring spectacular scenery and opportunities for wildlife viewing. The initial focus on the Nordic walks is developing the skills of Nordic walking. Think of it as cross-country skiing without the skis! This activity TURBO-CHARGES a walk, turning into a workout that targets all your core muscles as well as your arms and legs. Nordic walking burns mega-calories compared to just walking while the use of poles also promotes great posture, off-loads stress from hips and knees and provides exceptional stability on all terrain. There is lots of opportunity to explore and learn about this unique mountain town. Outings are between 1 hr 30 min & 2 hours. Age 12 & over. Hikes & snowshoe hikes on select trails in nearby Kananaskis Country are also scheduled on a monthly basis.
