Khwai River Bridge

Reviewed By MrGrumpy76 - Cardiff, United Kingdom

My wife and I recently stayed 4 nights here . The accommodation is excellent with wonderful views over the river. From the large deck we had superb views of elephants , hippos and a wide variety of wonderful Birdline. The food was also excellent and the staff were all so very friendly and helpful . A huge thankyou to our guide , Richard , who was superb . He gave us so many exceptional wildlife sightings of elephants, lions , leopards as well as a fascinating pack of wild dogs . We also enjoyed the wonderful singing and dancing performed at the bomb evenings. Fantastic experience- we would love to return before too long .

A Catholic Church. Clean. Observing all Covid protocols so numbers are restricted. We attended Mass over there. A tranquil place for prayer and meditation.

Tsodilo Hills

An important rock art site in the western Kalahari.

Reviewed By AdventurePhiles - Dallas, United States

This UNESCO site is well worth the visit despite the short rough road from the highway. There are several trails that include multiple rock art paintings. We had an excellent guide and did the Rhino Trail, which has 16 viewpoints. This trail also takes one up to the top and along a ridge for views, if you wish. There are fantastic depictions of antelope, rhinos, zebra, tortoises, and even a whale and penguin in these paintings, some of over 4500 in the area. The museum has excellent explanations of the life and history of the people who did the art – and the spiritual significance of the mountains as well.
