Trail through the riparian forest and Scuba diving in one of the most crystalline flooded caves of the world. Snorkeling is also a option. For those who have never dived before, a first diving experience called “baptism” is offered, reaching the maximum depth of 8 meters. For certificate divers, the depth to be reached depends on the level of certifi cation. Lagoa Misteriosa, which translates as “Mysterious Lagoon”, is a lake at the bottom of a sinkhole, a type of geological formation common in limestone regions. This lake of transparent waters impresses visitors for its incredible depth, it is considered one of the deepest submgerged caves in Brazil, with more than 220 meters of water column. The vision of the blue abyss at the bottom of the lake, the submerged tree trunks, the aquatic vegetation, the golden leafs and small fishes shining with the sunbeams in the water, all this transforms the Lagoa Misteriosa in a unique environment.

The people who ran this tour were absolutely wonderful. But as a frequent diver I'm afraid to say I wouldn't recommend this experience. There isn't much to do. You just swim down to whatever depth you're allowed to go and you're basically in a big hole. You're just kind of concentrating on buoyancy and posing for pictures. I could see cave diving being fun if you're able to go parallel to the surface so you're not having to go to some ridiculous depth, but in this experience you can only go down. And 20 meters down doesn't really show you anymore of the cave then you can see at the top.

We came to Rio during the end of the pandemic and it turned out to be a great decision. Tavi was basically our private guide. Kind, prompt, professional and able to answer endless questions. We enjoyed the Big 5 of Rio with Tavi and had such a great day we asked him to customize the following day to what he thought we’d like. He did NOT disappoint! We covered so much ground in a short amount of time and could feel his love for Rio. I’d like to come back when we can watch the pros do the samba - no offense Tavi ????

I Do not recommend this company I did a pre-planned day trip of Argentina. It was arranged they pick me up from nearby hotel. I msg to confirm and they changed the plans and I had to meet there which wasn’t Easy to find. I attempted many times to contact them via the phone numbers they provided and concierge also attempted, but they never responded. Then I only got half the tour. Try other more reliable and reputable companies.
