Rugged terrain, steep and narrow trails, thick woods, mud, swamps, water crossing are all taken in stride by the willing, sure footed Fjords. Trained to respond to voice commands, our horses do not use bits for either riding or driving. These private adventures, designed for small groups of experienced horse people, are multiples of half day sessions. Inexperienced horse people are welcomed and will be introduced to horse driving.

I played Bell Bay as part of a package from the Inverary Inn. My only disappointment was the additional $20 charge for a power cart. As a visitor, I am never sure how walkable a golf course might be. By mid-July, the course had dried out so I had no problems with the wet conditions that were described by some. The fairways and the greens were in excellent shape. Lots of challenging holes, but not brutal or unfair. Most fairways were generous in width, allowing for use of one's driver without fear of major repercussions. I was delighted that I was paired up with two members for the first 9 holes, as they provided valuable perspectives on the golf course, its history, and the best way to manage the various holes.
