We were on a ships excursion and only made a photo stop at the statue. It is a nice statue set in a lovely area overlooking the water.

I visited these falls in both summer and winter and was pleased on both occasions, although I think my winter snowshoe visit was a bit more adventurous. In winter , surrounded by fresh snow, it proved to be quite a marvellous trek. In summer, the exposure of foliage and beautiful trees was pituresque as well. Not a difficult or long hike depending on how long you decide to stay at this pretty spot. The falls didn't have a strong flow on either occasion , but was still worth it. My next visit will be in spring.

I had fun looking to take pictures of the Kidston Island Lighthouse, in different places, to see this lighthouse from different perspectives.
The first time I saw it, was from a window from the Alexander Graham Bell Historic Site. I immediately was attracted to it.
While driving near the Bras d'Or, we saw it again.
The third time was when we walked on the new boardwalk. We knew we would see it clearly. It is painted in white. Its door is painted in red, as well as its top. It has a window. It's quite attractive and worthwhile to see!

I made a reservation via e-mail with the owner a month in advance of our visit. I followed up via email in the week leading up to our visit and all was booked and ready to go. On the day of our visit we arrived 15 minutes early to find that the barn was empty (of people) but full of animals. Horses, Dogs, Chickens, etc. We walked around the barn and hung around for 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment. After 45 minutes of waiting we decided to leave. I emailed the owner that day and the following week to ask what had happened and to let her know we had been there and no one showed up, but she never did get back to me. I was very disappointed as we had heard very good things about this ranch.

The North River has a perfect picture-postcard setting. On way from town driving north towards the National Park stop at the parking just after the bridge and take photos from both sides of the bridge. Be extremely careful of traffic. Don't allow children to go with you. Very scenic. Specially in autumn.

A perfect spot to improve your cross country skiing techniques, learn how to Telly ski or enjoy the quiet by snow shoeing around the many groomed trails. Well equipped cabins for overnight stays, or just to warm up and share a cup of hot soup. Chris and Annie Law and their staff are your most gracious hosts.

What a great idea to have a wooden boardwalk to enjoy the views and the views are spectacular. We can see a lighthouse and many gorgeous boats.
They offer information about Baddeck on an information board. How people used to live there. They even posted some pictures.
There were picnic tables and a wooden bench, which is occupied by a metal man and a metal woman. I was able to sit on one of them, for fun.
I enjoyed this boardwalk. It’s worthwhile to see!

This church is quite attractive. It is painted in white and it has a tower and on the top is the cross.
Underneath the cross, there is a round window. It stands out. This church must be filled on Sundays. Worthwhile to see!
I like admiring churches like this one. Wow!

This yellow welcome Center was a great place for information. There were two of them, helping us. They were friendly and they had all the pamphlets to help us.
They encouraged us to go that night to the Ceildh. That was cool!
They gave us a map of town, which helped us immensely.
They had ample parking places.

As I was walking near the Court House, I was immediately attracted to this edifice. It was truly beautiful! First of all, it had numerous flowers, making it even more attractive.
There was a reminder that it was here that the first aeroplane occurred over the British empire.
This Court House was built in 1889. It is a historic court house. It is quite old and still attractive.
Worthwhile to see!
