I visited Akizuki with my husband in October 2009. I was here as an exchange student in 1977, Living with Japanese families in the town of Amagi (now known as Asakura)
I LOVE this place, it is quiet, peaceful, it reflects a more authentic feel of everyday Japan, a place foreign tourists should visit. The people here are lovely, friendly and we even met 'Pon-Chan' the local tame Racoon! He was lovely!

原鶴温泉の近くの道の駅ですね。
この辺はローソンが1軒とホームセンターのナフコが1軒でちょっと不便…。
道の駅だけに地場の農家さんのお野菜ありで、地元の方が作ったお総菜が旨そうで。
晩御飯を買いましたが地元のものが食べられて良いよね。
地酒やビールも売ってるけど、飲酒運転はダメよ。

We passed by this place and stopped due to the Wheel. The weather is good and I manage to see the intimate Wheel. I was told the real need to walk further. We did not proceed as short of time. There is Market at the place with interesting grown. A nice place for family outing.

This is one of the most beautiful and well equipped rest stop I have ever seen in my life!
Food is great!!
Onsite bakery - fresh croissants which were really really good!!!, pastries, supermarket ... biscuits of many local types .
And the food- beat ramen and even tempura chicken. Too bad no tempura prawns! Food was very good.
Toilets are super clean, plenty of vending machines and even and ice cream counter!

先日福岡に訪れた際、親戚に連れて行ってもらいました。
初めてだったのですが、公園自体も駐車場もすべてにゆとりがあり、広々としたイメージの公園です。
園内にはこれまた大きな池もあり、どことなく癒されます。
またこの公園は自然も豊かでその景観が美しいのですが、特に桜が見事らしいので、次はお花見も兼ねて訪問してみたいと思いました。

ここの施設に行く途中にあるダムの存在感にまず驚きました。山の間にあって、ダムができる前は水害がひどかったのかなあと思ってしまいます。とても大きなダムです。こちらの施設は家族連れがちらほら訪れていました。峠の途中にある施設です。

秋月の三連水車を見に行ったときに立ち寄りました。秋月藩の屋敷が博物館になっていて、それだけで歴史を感じることが出来ます。資料室では生活の日用品が展示されていて当時の生活を知ることが出来ます。美術館も併設されています。ゆっくり見るためには時間が必要でした。

弥生時代から約300年栄えた遺跡の跡です。
かの吉野ヶ里の遺跡とほぼ同年代らしく、邪馬台国ではないのか！？とも言われているようです。
朝倉市周辺の地名が奈良県の桜井市と類似するようで、邪馬台国九州説ではこちらも邪馬台国候補の一つみたいですね。
当時有ったであろう竪穴式住居や高床式倉庫を再現していますが、経年劣化で残念なことに…。
無料で見学できるので市の財政だけでは限度があるのかなぁ⁉
公園の一角に勾玉づくりができる体験館があり、職員さんに遺跡の説明をしてもらいました。
