Geriba Beach

The great waves at this large, open beach make it popular for surfing and windsurfing.

If you come to Búzios, this is one of the beaches you might want to visit. It is long, windy and has fine hot sand, where burying your feet just feels nice. There's a serving shack, it is somewhat expensive but still worth it, since you can buy a couple beers and sit on their chairs with umbrellas.

Everyone just has to get their photo taken with the statue of Brigitte Bardot and I am no exception. There is also an interesting statue of 3 fishermen in the water. This is a pleasant place to stroll, shop and just enjoy. There are lots of restaurants and cafes also.

Ferradurinha Beach

Reviewed By 2205_Vitoria

My husband and I love snorkeling, and Praia Ferradurinha was the best we found in Buzios. Water was very clear, and we were able to ser several Sea Turtles and Baiacus. Water is not so cold as Geriba, and waves are pretty much unexisting. View from the beach is great, and we enjoyed delicious drinks from “Barraca da Ceni” at reasonable prices. The Beach is rather small, and can get busy quite easily- therefore, I recommend that you arrive early to get a good spot at the beach.

As the title says, one place with the best choice for food and beverages. It is beautiful open air mall with a wooden boardwalk that circles a swamp river and extends towards the beach edge and with a pier at the end. Preferred location to watch the sunset across the bay and enjoy a good meal. a variety of restaurants from Japanese to Italian and local sea food cuisine . There are a couple of bars, cafes, ice-cream and other shops. They have a payed parking lot and at night the ambiance gets even better with special lighting n the trees and lanterns, that conceive a very romantic look. A very good place to visit and spend the afternoon as the night falls.

Nice Beach, clean and calm water, ideal for swimming. No big waves, and the water can be cold sometimes. But better in every way than Geriba beach wich is overcrowded and with old chairs.
