Krimml Falls (Krimmler Wasserfalle)

Reviewed By pingaroo - Chicago, Illinois

We did the Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse first and arrived at Krimmler Wasserfalle around 4:30pm. It was later than we would have liked as we had to drive to Innsbruck afterwards. The benefit of arriving later in the day was that the parking lots were emptying out, and we had no trouble finding parking. Parking is paid, and the amount depends on the duration - we paid 4 EUR for 2 hours. Entrance to the waterfall costs 3 EUR. There is a free restroom at the ticket office but nothing beyond that.
Krimmler Wasserfalle is the largest waterfall in Austria at 380 m. There are 3 tiers, and it supposedly takes 1 hour to walk to the top. We've young and avid hikers and found the hike strenuous as it's a constant uphill, going up 430 m in elevation in 4 km. Not sure how many people can do that in 1 hour... We also went on a hot day in July with temperatures close to 30 deg C. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the hike as there was a lot of water from the waterfall and the view is beautiful. It's one of our favourite attractions in Austria.

Went here with my Family and we really liked it. The Ski area is very large and therefore you have a lot of options to go for.
Some nice views you have here as well and you should also visit the Königsleiten Ski area when you are here.

Wildkogel bei Bramberg

This attraction is worth visiting both summer and winter. A new gondola takes you up to the kitzbuhler mountain range where there is a nice restaurant but mostly magnificent views. In the summer plenty of walks with restaurant's enroute and in the winter extensive skiing slopes for both beginner's and the more experienced.

Kristallbad

Reviewed By Haus_Brandeck - Uttendorf, Austria

The Kristallbad is a very nice pool.
It is not very large, but this matches the price.
It has one large main pool, that goes outside. And there is a paddling pool for the small children. It also has a waterslide going from insoude to the outside area.
The pools are all stainless steel, the building is very clean.
Outside there is a little playground, a rockpool and large lawn for sunbathing.
Highly reccomended for a few hours.

Our kids ranging from 3 to 15 spent an hour playing with the water canals, climbinh on the towers, ringing the bells, stamping their cards...
Even the the swimming pool of the hotel lured, we had great difficulty to get them to the cable car.
What a fairy tale place!
