Really nothing special, just a good solid meal. The OJ was fantastic though. The "sunny patio" is very small and located very close to the bathroom and laundry, so it is not real fresh-air smelling. My server was quick and polite and the food came out quickly. Avocado on the menu is "avocado cream", not fresh avocado. Very easy to find, just up the hill a bit from the Central Plaza.

Bajo La Luna

Bajo La Luna is a 1900's house's crawl space turned into a wine bar (the first one in town), we opened June 23rd, 2001. Some things have change (size, menu, etc) since then, but never the idea to own and run a bar that makes us feel like is the only place

They also have coffee, beer, wine and cocktails.FOOD: Bratwurst, salads, pasta, nachos, soups and desserts. Also, did I mention, BEST TEA in town.I got the “Pinchos” today. Grilled steak with grilled veggies and French fries. Very good!I’m definitely coming back again and again!

This is the most fun I have had in a long time. We had two native ladies teach us salsa dancing and it was a BLAST. You can step out to the bar for fortification, if needed. They were expert and did not give up, even on the most uncoordinated of our party! We learned a lot of moves and the guys learned to flip the gals over their backs as well as slide them between their feet. I felt like I was on "Dancing With the Stars." Afterwards, we went into the dining room and had drinks and some great nachos. The service was excellent and the waiters were conversational and really interested in what we thought of Quetzaltenango. I would return here in a heartbeat.
