Wellingborough is a market town and borough in Northamptonshire, England, situated about 11 miles (18 km) from the county town of Northampton. The town is situated on the north side of the River Nene, most of the older town is sited on the flanks of the hills above the river's current flood plain. Due to frequent flooding by the River Nene, the town was mostly built above the current level of the flood plain. Originally named "Wendelingburgh", the settlement was established in the Saxon period and is mentioned in the Domesday Book under the name of "Wendelburie". The town was granted a royal market charter in 1201, by King John of England.

We frequent this pub quite regularly usually a Friday and a Sunday and we always know what to expect every time but we still continue to stop off for a drink. Dirty tables, crockery left on tables for a long time before being cleared away if other customers have not already done so, bar staff slow with no happy smiles or they make you feel welcome. They have no idea who was first at the bar. The place needs a good shake up.

Been looking for an excuse to eat here for a while.. And finally got the chance, and it was worth the wait! Parking couldn't be any easier which is a positive and the food came out at a good time, ie not quick and not late. A good sign in my opinion - which is why the food was great! The photos may do some justice but I didnt get to take any of the mains.. Something I won't forget at the next visit. The starters were amazing; Onion Bhajee, Chicken Chaat Puree and Murgh Pakora, accompanied with poppadoms with some amazing chutneys and salad. The mains between 4 of us were amazing; Murgh Massala, Korai Lajawab and another dish which I can't remember as it's 3am! Long day at work let's say. All this with Naan - cheese & garlic and Rotis. Overall I'm really happy to have an Indian Restaurant like this locally, especially with Indian restaurants in the decline. Hope Alis continues to strive and I'm happy to say they have a new customer who looks forward to eating there again very soon!

This restaurant is hidden away in Wellingborough across the street from the main shopping centre.
The service is really good, staff are friendly and knowledgeable. There is no pressure to plough through your meal and leave, you are given time to sit and enjoy it with good breaks between courses.
The chef will walk through the restaurant as he is smiley and friendly, and check that you like your food, which of course you will.
There is a good selection of vegetarian options, and nothing is too much trouble to adapt as they make everything fresh.
The Cubana is a chilli and mushroom pasta dish with Rosé sauce that I would highly recommend.
My favourite item in this restaurant is the homemade Tiramisu. It is so light that you can eat a whole piece to yourself no trouble.

We have not been to this lovely little village pub for a good while so decided to return recently.Everything about the place including service,food and the atmosphere are extremely good.The menu is very reasonably priced with decent food on offer including many of the typical favourites.We did not eat on this particular occasion unlike last time when we sat in the small enclosed rear garden and played with the beautiful pub dog. An excellent homely little village pub really worth a visit even, like us on this occasion,just for drinks.It Visited November 2017.

Visited here whilst away with business - hotel was sending us to an alternative as they often do. Really pleased we ended here,fantastic food and service. All the food comes with the required spice level. We had not only a great flavour experience but the guy who attended to us was entertaining and professional also. His name was Shabby. Great guy who made an excellent experience even better. Very reasonable prices

As we were going to the Raunds Music Festival I turned to Trip Advisor to find somewhere nearby to eat and we definitely weren't disappointed with the results. Rocco's is a hidden gem, it is not obvious or flashy, but they do serve delicious food. We were the only couple in the restaurant at first (we were quite early), but we were made to feel very welcome and the restaurant soon started filling up. The waitress was very friendly and chatty and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent, it was all cooked fresh with sizable portions. If we are in that area again we will definitely make a return visit.

I went here with my family whilst visiting Rushden Lakes. The passing trip ended up being worthwhile. Great delicious food. Good sized portions. Well priced and very good service from staff. My personal preference would have been the waiter to make some proactive recommendations from the menu but other than that I loved the place. So much so that I've taken their takeaway menu so that I can get their food via collection because they don't cover my area - happy to make the effort for that quantity.
