I can't say enough great things about this place! It's a mecca for the foreign population here for finding a place to really relax, and is close to the Mekong river.Very clearly a family operated restaurant, the owners are friendly and genuine in wanting to have their customers enjoy their experience. Whether you are looking for a true taste of Canadian fare or just want a place to sit outside and enjoy, this place is perfect!The service and food/drink are excellent. They serve up a great Caesar (with real Clamato juice) and everything we order (mac and cheese balls, parm fries, Maple whiskey bacon cheese burger, and buffalo wings) were fantastic. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating, so it's easy to understand why this place's reputation has grown.How's it going there Mr Bruce? After a few days of being re-introduced to the spice and heat of SEA cuisine, the gastro system did call out forassistance, if not outright surrender. A philly cheesesteak to re-grease is just the ticket. Cheap, good, and straightforward, its the lunchtime equivalent of a 2am college run, with beer. Sizable portions; easy location.

I've lived out of the United States for the last five years, traveling through Europe and SEA. I ordered the Sputnik original which was by far the best burger I have ever had outside of the United States. The beef was juicy, flavourful and tender (while still maintaining its shape), caramelized onions added the perfect subtle sweetness and the condiments were applied in the perfect balanced proportion. THE FRIES! INCREDIBLE! The perfect size, shape, and fry-time giving them the right crunch on the outside and fluff on the inside. I would 10/10 recommend. Favorite meal in Vientiane so far!Wow!
