It was really a home away from home. Very safe and people are really helpful. One should definitely also eat at filo cafe which has the most amazing pizza ever.

Great Place to Stay near the Ghats
Reviewed By 698dineshThis place is great value for money. In Varanasi, you want to stay close to the ghats. Most places in this area are budget or mid range. The five star hotels are farther away from the main attractions. Getting around in Varanasi is not easy. So, for tourism, stay near the ghats and save your money for five star resorts in other places. This is a great location, walking distance to Shiwala Ghat, yet easily approachable by a major road. Most other hotels located closer to the ghat may require you to carry your luggage from the main road to the hotel. It is a 5 room property, an old house converted into a hotel. All rooms are different, and quirkily decorated. The maharaja room has coloured glass windows. Sadhu room has a tree trunk in the room that serves as a hangar. The furniture, fixtures and facilities in the rooms are of a good standard and very well maintained. In room safe, refrigerator and tea/coffee making facility is provided. The bathrooms are exceptional. Very clean and gleaming, chrome, granite and glass. Only one room has a bath tub. All the rest have very good showers with running hot and cold water. The bed linen and towels are spotless. They request you to leave your street footwear outside your room in a shoe rack, and provide disposable slippers for use inside the room. A bottle of complimentary drinking water is supplied daily. The rooms in the front overlook a busy road, and traffic noise into the room may be an inconvenience to light sleepers. There is a public park bang in front of the hotel where you may take morning/evening walks. Very warm hospitality of the staff, especially Mr. Jeetendra and Mr. Manoj. Check in is smooth and quick. There are only a handful of staff who do all the work from check in, to housekeeping, carrying luggage, serving breakfast and providing helpful suggestions about Varanasi. They serve breakfast, in your room, or in a quaint little courtyard. You may opt for Banarasi Breakfast (poori, sabji, jalebi, tea/coffee) or continental breakfast (bread and eggs to order, fruit, cornflakes with milk, tea/coffee). The quantity and quality of breakfast offered is good. There is no on site restaurant. So for other meals you have to go elsewhere. In Varanasi, you are spoilt for choice. The staff can offer very good suggestions. There is no onsite parking.

Misleading photos, a terrible stay in the divine land
Reviewed By Gautam DWe were so swayed by the reviews, the place just turned out to be a disaster. Location: Very close, about 8-9 mins walk to Assi Ghat. However, the guesthouse lies adjacent to a Gutter/Sewage stream that can make you sick and is prone to insects and diseases. So be careful when you go. Condition: Torn bedsheet and had to ask them to replace, which was also torn (see pics). Walls in the room were badly stained and the owner doesn't seem to be bothered. Bathroom was in OK condition. The area outside the room was not cleaned and stained with bird droppings. Breakfast: For the price (1150) we paid, the included bfast was a joke. We were given an option that almost made us skip the bfast. I regret eating there (forgettable, tasteless, spicy af) as it led to a gut wrenching pain. Overall: Will never stay there nor would I advise anyone. The room was worth half of what we were charged without even maintaining decent sanitization and cleanliness. I would advise the owner to sometime visit the room and make sure they're even in livable condition before giving them to guests. Please maintain the sanctity of the divine land. My Rating: 2/5.

Reviewed By VyomsinhaThis places is newly renovated with bright and cheerful ambiance. Located in a busy road close to Godhulia and about a Km from Dshashvmegha ghat. They have a nice restaurant on roof top and evening one guitarist was playing nice songs too Over all a cheerful cool place ,comfortable, contemporary design, and nice amenities They did not have card machine for payment hence had to pay cash or UPI. They don't provide electric kettle at rooms which they should for the charges and target audience they have. Staff is very cordial and helpful though I feel front desk can be more flexible in terms of late check outs. We had lunch on the day we were leaving and chef made completely homelike food for us. Overall in Varanasi and location, they are one of the better hotels to go to. They have dormitories also for singles.

Reviewed By bahootachaFamille exceptionnelle pleine de joie, guest house très bien tenu, propreté incroyable et on se sent comme à la maison ce qui est très rare à Benares, superbement bien situé à proximité du Ghat principal, loin des Klaxons et du bruit et à quelques mètres du Gange. Tout petit lodge avec 7 chambres, certaines sont plus grandes que d’autres, eau chaude dans les salles de bains communes et couvertures à disposition. Y aller sans hésiter !

Very bad hotel and behaviour staff terrible

The room which was committed to provide and price charged for the room was quite different room the room actually provided and it was a substandard room. But the price charged for the higher grade room. Behaviour of front desk staff was very rude and their attitude is just like they are showing mercy to you by way of providing room. Even for getting drinking water in room you have to wait for 4 hours and make minimum 6 calls. Only positive thing of the hotel is its prominent locations, but due to traffic restrictions in front of the hotel you have to carry luggage on your own till Girja crossing for getting communications. I would request other travellers not to choose the hotel. There are many hotels in Varanasi and not to be trapped in the hotel.
