Went to Cantina di David with my team, after a team bonding activity.Great sphere! Nice staff and delicious fresh food!!!! the anti-pasti was just delicious and everything was in a nice quantity, fresh ingredients to the fullest! as well as the main courses.Can't wait to go back!!!Pricey?!? We ordered take-away pizza's, that were so soggy, they were almost liquid. Upon calling the restaurant, we were told pizza's were supposed to be that way. These pizza's were undercooked and I believe eating them could've made us really sick. We are very demanding pizza eaters and it's not easy to impress us... but finally (!) we found the best pizza place in Utrecht!Super fresh ingredients, home made pesto, thin and crispy dough... the only reason we don't rate this with 5 stars it's because we missed the real raspberries on top of the panna cotta :-)

This nice restaurant with a big cosy terrace is only about 10 minutes cycling if you're staying in Utrecht-Oost. Went here for lunch today with a friend and we really enjoyed our food. I had sourdough bread with smoked salmon, spinach and egg salad and my friend had the club sandwich with fries. Both dishes were impressive. The staff is friendly and attentive and the place looks really nice with both tables and couches. I really love the terrace as well. It's not haute cuisine, but if you're looking for a friendly, informal restaurant with nice, basic food and parking space just outside Utrecht Loft 88 is definitely a good choice.

If you enjoy collective eating, you'll love this place. Huge tables accommodate lots of people and we were given seats on the edge of one table. The service was excellent, the food was fantastic and the portion size great. To cap it off, the bill was more than reasonable. What's not to like?!

Disapponted: after the others' review, I thought I could have some snapshots of good Italian "fast food".. but it was not the case. Not in terms of quality of bread, not in terms of quality of ingredients. Ok, it's cheap and fast, but good is another story.By the way: not accepting bank cards of any kind, not issuing a "real" receipt when asked (I need it to get the lunch reimbursed from my company), I guess they do not pay as many taxes as me (but it's only a guess).

I went to this restaurant because of the really good reviews here in tripadvisorThe food gets 3 1/2 stars. The meat was cooked well but all in all it didn't blow my mind. The antipasta plate is OK, but it lacked freshness and ideasThe atmosphere gets 3 stars. Tables are placed wherever is space in restaurant. In the front, at the bar and in the back. Like a lot of restaurants here the place is basically run and managed by students.The wine gets 2 stars. To pay 27euros for a nero s'avolo with a screwtop, which comes in retail for 6 or 7 euros is not worthy a decent italian restaurant. Also most other wines served comes in a screwtop. I have no issue when white wine comes like this, but for red, no please. Also the wine tasted like 6 Euros, without body, aroma and taste. You are better off ordering beer.
