Joris is one of the very small handful of restaurants that is able to deliver on every note consistently every time. I've visited Joris now several times over the last few years and what impresses me most is the fact that I have never walked out the door disappointed. From the cozy but elegant atmosphere & design to the excellent quality of the food. Be it for a casual lunch or a dinner out, there is something on the menu for everyone. One thing I can certainly commend them for is their willingness to adapt - I have specific food restrictions and the kitchen has always been more than happy to accommodate my needs without question or complaint. The service is equally impeccable as the food, the waitresses are very friendly and warm, they regularly pass your table to see if you have further needs (instead of ignoring you like many other places) and are attentively active. And the food is delicious! From the fresh oysters, the steaks, the fish to the burgers, each bite is a pleasure. The food is fresh, quality, and cooked to perfection (you won't have a rubber burger or steak here!) Joris is the kind of restaurant which adapts to your different dining needs, be it a casual meal after shopping or a more fancy menu tasting. It is very difficult for me to find any faults, and this is one of their many great aspects - their ability to be consistent. This is also the reason why I will continue to regularly come back for the years to come.

There are a lot of ways to cook delicious chicken. And just grilling entire chickens so the legs and wings become hard and tough and the breast is dry is not one of them. I missed chicken legs, chicken lollies, chicken wings, grilled thigh-meat, moist and infused breast fillets, chicken sausages, ... None of that, just grilled entire chickens. There was no choice of chicken either, no roosters. And all of that would not have mattered if the meat was really premium chicken and perfect moist en grilled just right. But no.So, for me, as a real chicken lover, disappointing.Dear 612wybeh,Is it Mr. 612wybeh or Ms. 612wybeh?Appearantly you didn't understand our concept. As we publish on every channel (even on our English Menu), we serve halve and whole chickens from our grill in 5 different flavours, not one flavour...no 5!So there's a choice. From Bitter Sweet BBQ, to Provencaals and from Chimichurri to Thai flavoured or Alan&Pim's seasoned chicken. No, not just chicken....Tante Door chicken, the Best chicken we can possibly serve...juicy and tender as always. extensive bottled belgian list and a good tap list of at least 20 beers, many unusual. Great bar tender, who of course spoke immaculate English and was very helpful. Handful of locals outside were initially sort of intimidating but they provided some entertainment. Didn't get any food, but didn't want any. Was there strictly for the beer. Weirdquirky decor - plastic snakes hanging off the lights and a large shark on the wall. But if you like Belgians, this is a good place to visit.
