Traditional eatery with good accommodation
Reviewed By RogerOKWe spent three nights in a clean and comfortable room in this traditional inn. The restaurant has a good selection of German dishes. As visitors to the Wagner Festival for the first time (at short notice) this accommodation was at the opposite end of town from the venue. The hourly bus took us from south into the centre where we caught a connection immediately to the Festspielhaus. Off-street parking only available out of season when eating outside is not in demand.

Clean, simple and moderately priced hotel
Reviewed By Christoph BB&B Hotel in Bayreuth is a simple, moderately priced hotel in the heart of Bayreuth. The hotel looks quite new and is quite clean. The covid-19 restrictions were taken very seriously. Unfortunately, this meant that they couldn't offer breakfast or open a common area. Our room was rather small, but sufficient. It had a TV, wardrobe, air-conditioning and soap in the bathroom. Towels were clean and changed regularly, even when not specifically asking for it. The people in the reception were friendly at all times, same holds for the cleaning staff. In the reception you will find vending machines for coffee and cold drinks. A supermarket, bakeries and restaurants of any sort can be found just around the corner. Parking is possible in a nearby garage (2-3 mins walking) at 7 euros per day. I can recommend B&B Hotel Bayreuth since it is located centrally at moderate cost and offers most things that one would expect.

Excellent hotel!!!
Reviewed By Rebecca KThis hotel was just about perfect. Friendly staff, sparklingly clean room, comfortable bed. I need total sensory deprivation when I go to sleep so I really appreciated the metal blinds that completely blackened the room. If I were looking for something to niggle about in the room, it would be that the shower buttons weren’t quite intuitive and I kept pressing the wrong ones and getting water from above when I wanted the sprayer and vice versa... but maybe I was just too tired. Also, the bathroom floor got pretty wet while I was showering, but I’m really being picky here. The breakfast was great. I LOVED the big glasses they give you for drinks: most hotels only give you shot glasses so you’re running back for a refill every five minutes. Only tiny criticism here would be that the plates didn’t look like they had been washed carefully enough and the salt shaker was dirty (and I was at breakfast before it officially opened, so that must have been from the day before). But otherwise everything was excellent. I travel a lot and this was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. It’s not fancy but the overall quality was so high that it outperforms more expensive hotels where I’m often annoyed that despite the high rates the walls are thin, the curtains let in light, the bathroom isn’t clean etc.

Reviewed By Lali1957Das Essen in dem Hotel war gut und die Zimmer sauber. Zummer sind allerdings sehr klein und sehr einfach ausgestattet. Die Inhaber haben uns unmissverständlich zuverstehen gegeben, dass das Restaurant um 22 00 schliesst. Hat dann eher was mit einer Juhe, als mit einem Hotel zu tun. Wir kommen definitiv nicht mehr.

Schön gelegenes Hotel mit guter Küche

Das Frühstück war sehr gut, auf unsere Wünsche wurde eingegangen. Man kann auch zu Abend essen. Es war sehr lecker und die Portionen waren ausreichend groß.

Good room, quite ok food, some accessibility restrictions
Reviewed By drjobecThere are two parts in this place: one is the BnB and the other the restaurant. First the BnB: to get to the room, you'll need to walk some tight stairs, so accessibility is not the focus here. Also the climb from the lower parking place can be much for problematic legs. The rooms (as most of the interior) have been apparently renovated quite recently and they are nice and roomy. The only minus for the room is that there was a very prominent aroma from the kitchen below. The breakfast is plenty for a BnB. All in all quite nice. But one would expect so for the price... Then the restaurant. Note the opening hours (e.g., closing quite early for guaranteeing peace for the house guests) and a reservation is recommended. The dishes make an effort to be a bit more. Still, one could trade in some of the quantity. The food was otherwise actually good, but very heavily salted (all the dishes we tried).

Großartige Lage mit kleineren Fehlern
Reviewed By pacodigaBei der Ankunft wird man von Verbotsschildern auf Abstand gehalten, wenn man sich daran hält, kann man mit dem Auto nicht bis zur Unterkunft fahren..Ist man dann da, ist die Begrüßung freundlich. Der Übernchtungspreis wird im Voraus kassiert.. Das Appartement stellt sich als Doppelzimmer mit Sofa heraus. Das Fühstück bietet wenig Auswahl, bei mäßigier Qualität. Im Restaurant gibt es Essen zu Großstadtpreisen mit denen die Qualität nicht mithalten kann. Alles in allem ist für den Preis zu wenig geoten. Großes Plus ist die wunderschöne Lage mitten in der Natur des Frankenwalds mit eigenem Bachlauf, der das Mühlrad noch zum Laufen bringt.
